"You have reached the voicemail of Patricia Jones-"

No answer once again. Honestly I don't understand why I still bother trying to call my mother. Maybe it's just that little part of me still hoping she'll pick up and say, "Hi sweetie! How are you doing?". I know better than to believe that'll happen though.

Before placing my phone down on my nightstand I glance at the time.

6:45am

Just enough time for me to take a quick shower, change, and leave for what I already know will be the same old crappy school day.

After the a few seconds of convincing myself to get my ass out of bed I drag my feet towards the bathroom and look in the mirror.

Big mistake.

If I was told I had a troll for a twin let's just say, I wouldn't be surprised.

After I get over the general shock that is my face I do all my necessary hygiene protocols. A few moments later and I can actually somewhat stand my appearance.

Yippee.

I brush out my hair and put on a bit of mascara and I'm out towards my closet.

Don't judge me, it's senior year, I stopped putting effort into what I wore sometime during freshman year.

When I get to my closet I end up just throwing on some white ripped jeans, a nude cami, a camo jacket, and some timbs.

What? I like to look a little cute sometimes.

Bite me.

After I'm completely ready I grab my phone, wallet, keys and I'm out the door.

Halfway to my car I realize I don't have my goddamn backpack.

"God Ava you complete dumbass",I mumble as I trudge my way back in the house.

Few seconds later and I'm back on track and in my car putting on my Bluetooth.

Skip.

Skip.

Skip.

What song even is that? Delete.

Skip.

Ski- oh wait go back I like that song

Took me to the back room in Chanel so we could smash
Everything is Louis V and Louis V her casket
And she's so good at walking out because her dad did

Man, Chase Atlantic really has all the bops.
Try and tell me otherwise I'll wait.

Unfortunately after a few songs I pull up to my parking spot at school.

Rolling my eyes I grab my shit and go. As I'm walking into the school I come face to face with a clown.

Oh sorry did I say clown? I meant Rebecca.

Such a shame really, a pretty name for an ugly girl. Maybe if she ever took off her 3 ton amount of makeup she'd be quite beautiful.

But nope.

"Get out of my way Rebecca" I say as I try to move around her. Every damn step I make she follows and my patience is wearing thin.

Ah who am I kidding, I have no patience.

"Avalyn is that any way to greet your friend?", she pouts but I can see right through her bullshit"

"We hate each other, now move I have places to be and one of them most definitely isn't where you are"

As soon as those words came out my mouth she dropped her nice act.

"Listen her you little bitch, there's a new kid coming today and I will not have you interfering with me being the one he talks to so I'm warning you now, back off"

I had to laugh. A solid two minutes I was crouched over laughing my ass off.

Wiping a fake tear from my eye I look at her. "First of all, I don't know who the fuck you think you are calling me a bitch, you should know not to cross me Barbie.", before she reacts, I grab her hand and slowly start bending it, stopping when I hear her whimper.

"Now, as for the new kid, I could care less about him, I do not control him, if he comes up to me that's not my problem and it isn't yours. Next time I say get the fuck out of my way, I suggest you listen, understood?" With that I drop her hand and storm past her accidentally bumping into her.

Apparently while we were having our little chit chat a crowd had formed. Some staring in shock, some recording, some glares some laughs.

But one person caught my eye, taking a quick once over at him I see his curly black hair, leather jacket, black jeans, hm combat boots?

As I glance back up we make eye contact and his bright green eyes make contact with my brown ones and for a second it feels as though there's no one else around.

Like it's just him and I and then he winks and I roll my eyes. Immediately ruining the feeling. Looking away I continue my walk into the school shoving past people not once looking back.

I didn't look back when I heard someone call my name, I didn't look back when I roughly bumped into someone's things. And I most certainly did not look back when I felt a specific pair of eyes on my back the whole time.

Guess now I know who the new boy is.

Avalyn's school outfit^

Song mentioned in the chapter:
Her by Chase Atlantic

Authors Note:
I will not be making a cast list really, imagine the characters as who you want but I imagine Avalyn as a mixed girl with curly hair for the most part. Nothing to specific, just a general idea.

Make sure you like and comment my lovelies💋
