Castiel's POV

I couldn't count how many times I had already seen a human sleeping. It was nothing special, actually quite boring. But I always found it interesting why Dad would create a species whose time on this earth is already limited to a short period but still makes them spend one third of their life doing absolutely nothing. He never answered that question, though.
But watching her sleep made me rethink my point of view. I didn't find it boring and I didn't experience it as a waste of time either. Watching her sleep was kind of peaceful.
The sun slowly began to rise when I decided to leave. I didn't want anybody to know about this, they'd only make their usual jokes but still.
Of course, it didn't work out.
As soon as I closed her door silently behind me, I could see Sam, standing in the kitchen, grinning widely at me.
"It's not what it looks like," I managed to say. I was frozen in motion, my hand was still lying on the doorknob.
"Sure bud," he winked and continued cutting the cucumber in front of him.
"Please don't tell Dean." I looked over to him, still snoring loudly. "I don't wanna make a big thing out of it."
"One requirement." Sam looked at me, his grin still present. "Tell me what happend."
So I told him. How we went swimming, that we kissed and I even told him about the cuddeling and how strange it felt to me.
"I knew it! You guys are so obvious," he laughed. I looked over to him, confused.
"From the first time on you two met, you were always flirting and all heart eyes over each other. We all knew." He was right. It was so obvious, I couldn't deny it.
"I never thought she'd feel the same about me," I admitted, avoiding his glance.
"Are you serious? Even a blind person could see how much she likes you." I looked up to him, he was seriously surprised how I couldn't notice.
"You really need some lessons in love."

The following hour, Sam told me everything he knew about girls. How to be romantic, how to plan a date and all those other things that includes interaction with a girl. I really appreciated how he wanted to help me. Sam was always the more sentimental, more caring guy. He truly wanted to help me and also seemed genuinely happy about me and (Y/N) actually getting closer.
During our talk, we also prepared breakfast. The whole house smelled like bacon and freshly brewed coffee. I remembered my time as a human and how coffee and bacon tasted. Sometimes, I missed it. Being human seemed so easy, so .. limited. After almost 4 billion years on this earth, sometimes death seemed like a salvation to me.

Your POV

When I woke up, I was kinda disappointed to only find Chess lying next to me. He greeted me with licking my face and I giggled.
"Hey there pretty boy," I smiled, stroking his soft furr.
I noticed the little post-it next to my bed: I left when everyone was still asleep. Thank you for that night.
It was written in a really elegant handwriting, of course would an angel have a good one. As soon as I was finished reading, I got up, grapped my clothes for the day and disappeared in the small bathroom next door; the cold water running from the shower made a shock running through my body, waking me up entirely.
Finally, I was dressed and brushed to start the day. The air was already filled with the smell of bacon and coffee, I heard some noices in the kitchen which sounded like talking, but I couldn't recognize whom the voices belonged to.
"C'mon, Chess," I called him, as I opened the door. He directly ran outside to jump at Sam. Everybody else would have been taken down, but moose of course would stand his ground. I think that was the major reason why Sam was Chess' favourite.
"Good morning," I smiled at Sam and Castiel. They both greeted me with a smile and Cas handed me a cup of coffee. I thanked him silent and turned my head to see what they had made for breakfast.
"That smells delicious." I took a deep breath to suck in the mouth watering smell. "Sam, you truly are a virtuoso when it comes to breakfast."
"Oh thanks alot, (Y/N), but Cas here is also quite talented in chopping vegetables." He poked the angel in the shoulder, making him smile that gorgeous smile that I loved so much.
"So, lets wake up our sleeping beauty, shall we?" Sam smiled, already having a cup of cold water on his hand. Will they ever grow up? I didn't hope so.
