You guys probably need an explanation
As though in the beginning Silver said he had a girlfriend named Emma ,but in the end he was gay
The reason he's gay is because he lost hope in loving girl (you're probably mad because maybe it doesn't work this way ,but that's what i'm doing to my character)
He also started liking a guy which was not mentioned in the book I'm very sorry
And for Ruby getting friend-zoned she accepted it because it was mentioned she was left alone and having no one to catch her but having a friend will help her
This book was just a message to everyone that a friend is all we need ,it can be a member in a family of yours or a classmate of yours but as long as you have that friend whom will never let you go alone and will forever help you fight your battles , a friend who will stick by you and cheer you up whenever you are feeling down
