Chapter 5

After having lunch nandu was sitting on the couch when manik came to her with a glass of water and medicines....

Manik- chalo nandu jaldi se yeh medicins kha lo...

Nandini- chi... meko nai khani.....chi...ganda hota kai...(whineing like a kid and sticking her tongue out...)

Which brings a smile on maniks face waching her cute activities....

Manik-baby ab yeh chii kya hota hai....medicine toh khani padegi...warna mere nandu wapas strong kaise banegi....

Nandini- nai na fliend....(frowning and pouting her lips cutely)nai na......

Manik- nandu no more tantrums chalo have it (and approches her whith the medicine and glass of water)

Just then she gets up with a naughty smile and starts running ....manik goes all awww on her childishness...

Manik- aare nandu idhar aao....

And starts running behind her which her medicines.....

Nandini- ha ha ha.....pehele mujhe pakal ke toh dikhao ....

Her giggles eco in the whole house.......

The servant also see this and become very happy....

Servant1- kitne dinon baad aaj sab itne khush hain warna toh bade saab ke guzar jane ke baad saab kitne udaas ho gaye the......humesha aapne mein hi rehete thee...

Servant 2- han ...tum bilkul sahi bol rahe ho....mein dua karta hun ki saabje aise hi khush rahain...

Nandini and manik keep running in the whole house ...

Manik- nandu.... Tum mera good baby hai na...plz yeh medicines le lo baba ...phir mujhe jitna bhagana hai bhaga lena ....

Nandini- .....ha ha ha ...pehele meko pakal ke toh dikho...meko pata hai ....fliend ki tum meko nahi pakad paoge...

She was looking at manik while saying all this and running towards the main door when she bangs with someone and the other persone shouts in annoyance...

Girl- what the helll!!! U ....cant u see are u blindd..

Nandini gets so scared that she stand while shevering all the time...

Nandini- wo ..wo me..mein...

Girl-(shouting at the top of her voice)yeh bakre ki taraha mein mein kya laga rakha hai...han....aur tum jaise gawar ,jahil aur sadakchap ladki ko ghar me aane kisne diyta....

Just then..

Manik- aliya!!!!!!(his eyes were blood red)aapni hadd mein raho...

He comes and stands near nandini and nandini hugs him tightly shivering badly...

Aliya-par bahi...!!

Manik- not a word ......aaj se nandini isse ghar mein rahegi...aur aaenda agar tumne usse aise baat ki toh tumhare liye achha nahi hoga...ab chup chap aapne kamre mein jao....

Just then a lady enters...clapping her hands...

Lady- oo wow ....so much of care for an outsider han....(then her expession changes)hmh....mana padega ....manik aakhir tumne aapne rang dikhahi diye ...aakhir sautele jo ho...

Hearing those words manik felt very hurt...

Manik- mom aisa kuch nahi ha...

Lady- ooh plz...yeh bakwaas ke melodramatic dialogues toh tum kisi aur ko hi bechna....and how dare u talk my daughter like that....aur wo bhi isss pagal ladki...

Manik(angry) mom!!!! Mind your tongue nandini pagal nahi hai....samjhe aap ....aur aapko jo samajhna hai aap samajh lijiye....bus bohot hogaya....aur nandini ke baare mein ek aur shabd nahi...not a word...

He picks nandini up in his arms and moves upstairs towards his bedroom....

BEDROOM-

Manik places nandini on the bed ....and suddenly finds no movement...he looks at her and finds out that she is unconcious...

Manik- ooh shit...nandu(pats her cheek)babdy plz ankhein kholo....

Manik takes some water from the glass kept on the table near the bed and sprinkles some water on her face ...and she gets up with a jerk ...

Manik- ohh thank god u r fine...(sighs in relief)

In an instance nandini hugs manik tightly and starts sobbing ...

Nandini- fliend...me..mein...I ..mein sorry ...mele wajhe se...(in her hiccups)

Manik – hey shhhhh.....nai nandu....tyum kyun sorry bol rahi ho....no need....tumhare toh koi galte hi nahi hai...phir....chalo ..be my good baby and stop crying(and wipes of her tears while still hugging her)

But she starts to soob more....

Manik- arrre bacchha ...plzz...don't cry like this na....u know na your tears hurt me...plz....baby ...mereliye...see...kuch nahi hua ...mein hun na tumhare saath....calm down(hugs her more tightly and starts rubbing her back)

After a while nandini calms down....and manik breaks the hug and...wipes off her tears..

Manik- dekho kya hal bana liya hai ro ro kar mere bacche nai....mere pyare pyare eyes ko kitna rulaya ki pure red ho gaye hain...

Nandini-I am solly fliend....mele wajhe se tumpe u..uss aunty nai gussa kiya...mein aaul kabhi bhi aise nai kalungi......plomish...

Manik- kisne kaha ki mujhe daant padi....aur tum jo chahe karo ....mujhe koi problem nahi hai...aakhi yeh ghar toh mere baby ka hi hai ....toh jitna marzi bhago...koi kuch nahi bolega...

Nandini-(innocently)mela ghar...?

Manik- hmmm. Tumhara hi toh hai ...infact mera jo kuch bhi hai tumhara hi toh hai...

Nandini- kyun?(tilting her head a little)

Manik-(pulling her into a hug)kyunki tu toh mera baby hai na iseliye...

Nandini-(smiles like a baby)sachhi?

Manik-(kissing her forehead lightly)muchhi...chalo aab mela baby thak gaya ho ga na ....so its her sleepy sleepy time ...

And carefully makes her lie down on the bed...

Manik-now close your eyes...

Nandini shakes her head as no...

Manik- kyun..ninu nahi aare mere baby ko?

Nandini-( rising her hands towards him gesturing to hug him)fliend huggi karke sona hai...

Maniik goes awww on her cuteness..

Manik- awww ok then as my bachha wants...

And lies down beside her and nandini keeps her head on his chest and holds him tightly around his waist...while manik encircles her in his one arm while patting her her with one hand...

And they both drift to slumber..
