Surprise!!!

                                                                           Caroline's POV

Hayden picks me up then spins me around when he sets me down he smiles while looking at my face cupping it then kisses me for about a minute before the doorbell rings. I leave to get the door but what i see makes me dizzy, i put my hand out to the door breathe out.

"hey you ok?" The man asks but as i am about to say something the world goes black and i feel arms around me.

"HELP!"

Hayden's POV

I hear a cry for help which sends me running down the stairs to see him

"you...what are you doing here-WHAT DID YOU DO?!"

I see Caroline unconscious in his arms he tries to explain to me that he is trying to change and he didn't do anything but i don't listen all I'm focused on is Caroline, the first thing i do is call Mason trying not to cry to much but i cant help it she could die.

Minutes later the door flings open with a bang and loud pounding on the floor comes towards me, its Mason he drops to his knees and looks so scared but also confused. The man who was at the door comes forward and offers to help, when Mason looks up to see this man he growls

"what are you doing here, you decide to run off and leave mum and us to starve and now you only decide to help, you also tried to kill Caroline you own daughter just because she is not a wolf or a witch like you wanted that gives you no right to treat her like you did in the past she is a vampire and that's what she'll always be?!"

The man looks scared and backs away and Mason turns back around to face his little sister to find her once again lying in my arms. I look up at Mason and he looks at Caroline, I feel movement then suddenly look down, Caroline coughs then groans in in tiredness and confusion.

"hey sis you ok?" Mason asks while stroking her hair

"I-I think what happened?" She get up with tired eyes and once on her feet she falls right back into my arms again, catching her helping her up i smile weakly and i can tell by the way she looks at me shes afraid.

Caroline's POV

I can feel it, the bad vibe that makes me afraid to move, i grip Hayden's arm tighter as he holds me up. I turn around, i gasp stumbling backwards crashing into the dressing table then the wall, why is he here my own father not him please be a dream please be a dream! As i crash into the wall Mason comes running over to me

"oh god you ok?" he looks at me all over then my face

I nod not wanting to cause any more drama but i should have seen it coming, because as soon as my father takes a step forward Mason whips around and goes into defense mode putting his arm out protecting me while Hayden comes over and holds me tight.

Mason's POV

Not this time there is no way he is going to harm Care again she has become to weak and delicate to handle it.

"step away or you wouldn't want to know what happens next........."

After a minute of staring at my father i hear rapid gasping and crying along with a sound of pain when i turn around and see a Caroline on the floor reaching for her back, i rush over to her

"Care what's wrong?!" She points at the hold in the wall from where she crashed then her back but when i see it i immediately have to take it out. There is a big wood splinter in her back close to her heart, when i take it out she lets out a huge breathe of relief.

"why me?" i hear her whisper i look down at her

"why is this all happening to me?" she closes her eyes for a few seconds then climbs her way back to her feet. She falls into my arms and cries into my chest, i look over to Hayden who nods so i wrap my arms around her. The room is so silent you can hear a pin drop but what i hear are heartbeats the ones that are close me which is Caroline's but then i hear another heartbeat over hers, its coming from farther down her. I open my eyes and look at her confused

"Care?" she looks up slowly waiting for me to say something

"who's heartbeat besides yours am i hearing?" she looks up at me shocked then she smiles grinning from ear to ear

"surprise!" I look at her confused, shocked, astonished and then i finally understand everything.
