a peak

Hello all!

I've gotten lovely comments from a user called ImAwesome11111111 and decided I'd post a peak at what I've got written for the next chapter. Truthfully, this is all I've gotten written. I have to focus on my studies for the next few weeks, so please don't be upset with me!

Uncle Alex invites Henry to stay over (yes!) and I can almost see the imaginative drool dripping off Mikal’s chin when Henry meets him.

“Hijos! Meet Henry, o tio Henry to you, or Uncle Henry to you” Uncle Alex shouts. Caterina and Mikal race downstairs. They both gasp together, giving me an is-it-him look. I nod and Caterina screams.

“Aye aye aye!” she laughs, bounding over to Henry like he’s a long lost relative, “Que Bueno! Ooh, estas bonito! You’re pretty!” She kisses him on both cheeks, pull back with her hands on his shoulders and just smiles at it.

“Caterina, you’re creeping him out” I giggle. She just stares at Henry with that smile and then pulls back.

“Lo siento, sorry” she sighs, “You’re just handsome”

“And this is my cousin, Mikal” I introduce them both. Mikal stares like Caterina did.

“A pleasure to meet you” Henry says in that deep, sonorous voice of his. Mikal blushes.

“Y—the same to you” he replies in English, sounding very forced.

“You can speak to me in Spanish, I understand” Henry laughs, thinking this is the source of his embarrassment or blush.

“Verdad? Is it the truth?” Mikal brightens, “Excellent, I want to know all about you! You are after all, my uncle”

“I like the colour of the sea. I own a house in Maine. I enjoy reading…” Henry starts. I can tell he really wants to please them. “I enjoy cooking. My typical breakfast consists of something made of eggs, tea, and perhaps a grain-based substance”

“Henry, you don’t have to actually tell him all of that…” Nevertheless, I smile. Because I already know all that. Uncle Alex interrupts them all and invites everyone to eat a snack in the kitchen. Uncle Alex and Henry get along well, speaking rapid Spanish and melting some chocolate and baking churros. Caterina and Mikal pull me aside, excited, and tell me about all his perfections. The sun is bright outside, and everything is going well. Ahhh, what an amazing life.
