Niall Horan POV
I slammed the door shut as I angrily walked to the boot of my car to get the groceries out.
She'd just snubbed me. Funny, witty, gorgeous Saoirse had given me the cold shoulder, as she'd flirted with that guard in front of me.
I grabbed the bags, which were heavy with groceries and slammed the boot shut.
What else had I expected, anyway? I had been a dick of a friend. Yet, it hurt more than I had thought it would.
I actually didn't feel sorry for her that someone stole her stuff. What goes around, comes around I suppose?
I walked inside and took my shoes off before leaving the entrance.
She had looked stunning. The Saoirse I remembered had quite a childish face still, barely wore any makeup, always in fun, colourful clothes. She'd looked like an adult now. Her cheekbones more pronounced, the childish bits gone, a little makeup on her face. She wore jeans, but sophisticated, trendy jeans, with trendy boots. Her eyes though, those grey depths were old. The weight of the world on her shoulders had flashed through for a second.
If only I could get her to talk to me, I thought as I started to put away the food. If only we could talk this through...
Perhaps there was nothing to talk through. Perhaps she'd completely blocked me off. The look in her eyes had told me quite enough. But I wasn't going to give up, no. Before I'd be leaving this goddamn town, she and I would have made up again.
