PRELUDE
Once there was a kingdom that was ruled by Kim Hanjoo, who was once happily married with a maiden named Kim Hwayong. Their love for each other gave life to their first son namely Kim Taehyung.
It was Hanjoo's father who named their first son Taehyung—meaning, all wishes come true.
Taehyung grew up just like his father—brave, strong and wise. He began to train at the age of 6, wanting to become a warrior despite of his royalty status. His father supported him in return that he will help him rule the kingdom in the future.
His mother was proud to witness his son grow up just like his father. Brave and Wise. But this happiness didn't last long.
Soon Autumn came.
The kingdom was in chaos when the news was disseminated, the queen was diagnosed with an unknown illness. It came out of nowhere, that even the greatest doctors in the kingdom couldn't distinguished the Queen's illness. But they have one information that broke everyone's hearts in the kingdom.
It was incurable.
The King was in a drastic mess knowing that the queen is diagnosed with some illness he couldn't identify, knowing that she's pregnant with their second child.
But it all became harder when he got to choose. The baby or his wife.
The King was crying hard, he couldn't choose. He doesn't want to risk the safety of his wife nor his child, it was a life or death situation for him. The queen seems to noticed what her husband was thinking so she touched his clenched knuckles, slowly rubbing her thumb on it reassuring him, telling him that it's okay even though she knew it's not. The king looked at his wife and couldn't help to shed a tear due to her weakening situation.
"Save the baby," was all she said.
It was in the month of September, where dead leaves fall, where his wife passed away,
and the time when Princess Ga-eul was born.
