Sasuke x Reader (sad)

Sasuke pov.

6 days had passed and y/n still has'nt returned from her mission, with naruto...
I hope she is fine

"sasuke!" I heard from behind me.
I turned around only to see narutos face...
Narutos sad and hurt face.
"naruto. Where is y/n?"
No answer.
"answer me already! Atleast tell me everything went just fine!"
I got louder, feeling of how strange naruto is acting.
"listen sasuke... Before you freak out, something came up -"
He said carefully and calm to me, but after those words I just had to know what happened, even if it meant interrupting him.
"what do you mean something came up?! Is she OK?! Come to the point! Why isn't she with you here!"

He gave me a sad look and looked down to the ground.
"she is in the hospital..."

This was the moment when it hit me...

"I wanna see her, now!"
I yelled at him only feeling worry running trough my body.

"OK.. But please sasuke, try to calm down. I'll explain everything when we are there"

What? Calm down? How?
How should I calm down when my cute y/n is in the hospital after a  mission, something bad could have happened to her.

"just bring to her already"

We arrived at the hospital, currently standing in front of the closed door of her room.

"sasuke..
Now please listen to me before we enter.
As you know we went on a mission and we needed to find the spy that has been spying in konoha recently
And well it turned out he wasn't alone and he had weapons on him.
While I fighting one of em, I did not realized that the other was behind me. So y/n tried to save and well jumped right in front of him. I can't say what exactly happened.....
But... I know I should say this.
I am so sorry "
He looked down, tears streaming down his face.

But this was it, I need to see her so I just pushed open the door only to see y/n laying there in the bed with pale skin and eyes closed.

I walked up to her, to get a closer look.

Tears started to fill my eyes, knowing this is the last time I will see her.
I won't be able to hear her beautiful voice ever again or the way she called after me with her cute smile.

Crying was the only thing I could do right now while I kneeled next to her bed.

I looked at her with tears once again

" y/n I'm so sorry, it shouldn't have been you, I should have come with you and naruto on the mission
...
It should have been me...

...

I should have told you that earlier but I was to much of a coward...

I love you and I always will"
