Location-Chapter 1

<P>"Oh my! Astra! Vivien! Castor! Come down here!", my dad shouted out from the laboratory. "Look! Twelve years of blueprints, building, fixing, and my blood sweat and tears! I finally got it to work!". My dad is a mad scientist and he has been working on some weird invention for twelve years. He started when I was two years old. Every day after breakfast, lunch, and dinner he would go downstairs into the laboratory and work. Some days he wouldn't even come upstairs! Anyway, this weird invention my dad created is supposed to be secret. No one but my family can know what he created. But my friend Lorin is an exception, 'cause she is practically part of the family. Also, this invention of his was never supposed to be made, the government disapproved of this and they banned him from making it, so that's why no one should know. He broke the law!</P>

<P>My dad created a portal to four different dimensions. My dad also made a translation book that has all the information he knows about those dimensions. And yet, i know nothing about science, coming from the daughter of Dr. Mace Kalare, A.k.a "The State's Scientist". </P>

<P>So, today my dad comes to me and tells me "Vivien, I'm not going to be around today, I'm staying an extra hour at work. Do you mind if you kept a look out for my portal?" So I gladly replied "Sure dad, I don't mind." My dad comes close to me and whispers "Don't let your brother get close to the portal! He may not see it, touch it, or even think about it!". So i obeyed his rules. Castor, my depraved younger brother, cannot be trusted, obviously. And I have to be aware of his guile thoughts, or I could be fooled right now as I speak. He could be downstairs touching the portal right now. But he isn't 'cause I see him. </P>

<P>"Hey, Viv!", Castor shouts to me. "Can I help you?",I ask. By the tone of Castor's voice, I can tell he is up to something. "I am bored, can we look at dad's crazy thing?", he asks. "Castor, are you out of your mind? Dad said to stay away from the portal, he told me to look out for it. You are not allowed to go see it, touch it, or even think about it!", I shouted at him. "Oh, okay, I guess I will find something else to do...", he groaned. Oh yeah, he is defiantly up to something no good. I just know it, I mean, this is my little brother Castor, he is obviously up to something. "Besides, Cas, don't you usually hangout with that little annoying kid down the block?", I asked him. Maybe if he got his friend then he would probably get his mind off of the portal. "You mean Fabian? He's not home today...well maybe my other friend Darius is home.", he pondered. "Well, if you are so bored than why don't you hang out with Darius?", I questioned him. Hoping for a response like 'okay sis, that's a good idea' or 'yeah I will leave you alone'. "Uhh...Nah. Darius sees me every day.", he stated. Now I'm getting angry. I just want him to go somewhere so I don't have to worry about him touching the portal. "But you see Fabian everyday!" I screamed. "Yeah, but that's different.", he said peacefully. "How is that different?!, you know what, whatever don't hang out with anyone I don't care. I just don't want to see you near the portal.", I furiously fired at him. Castor just stands there with a blank face on and didn't make a sound. Angry, I just stormed off.</P>
