Mackenzie: 20
Johnny: 21

It was an unusually rainy day in Los Angeles, California and the couple were snuggled up in the corner of their cosy couch, drinking their warm mugs of hot chocolate.

With music playing in the background, they simply enjoyed each other's company. They've been dating for five and a half years. They've went from immature teens to grown adults that are more sensible.

"Can you believe it Kenzie? It's crazy that we've grown so much. I mean it was like it was yesterday we were talking about our lives in your mom's backyard," John spoke with a raspy voice.

"I know right and how you used to flirt with me while whispering in Maisy's black car. Remember that," Mackenzie chuckled.

"Ah the good old days when our lives were less problematic." The pair used to have a reflection period occasionally. Thinking about the old times and whatnot. It always ended with either an innocent kiss on the lips or something else that was much more explicit...

Ever since they entered each other's lives, they changed each other for the good. John cleaned up his act and stopped playing around. Mackenzie finally opened up to her parents about how often she was alone since her sister was in college.

The loud sound of thunder interrupted their train of thoughts.

Johnny held Mackenzie tighter as he knew that she had a mild fear of thunder.

"I love you," Mackenzie whispered.
"I love you more," John whispered back.

"Not possible," she fought back.
"Shut up you moron and enjoy the moment," he said jokingly.

Suddenly, Mackenzie gasped. Which usually indicated that she had an idea.

"We should make cookies!" She said, excited.

Johnny saw the pure happiness on her face and so he let her have it.

"But Kenz remember what happened the last time we tried baking cookies?"

"Ok maybe they got burnt because we were too busy making out but that doesn't mean it'll happen again." Mackenzie blushed at the thought of Johnny bringing that up.

"Sure whatever you say Kenz," he replied giving her a knowing look.

She nudged him with her elbow and demanded that he shut up.

They went over to the kitchen, the same place they would have steamy make out sessions while cooking. Didn't end well usually. Couldn't say the same for the other times.

"First things first, do you know the recipe," Johnny asked Kenzie.

"No we're gonna bake with out knowing the ingredients or the steps," she replied sarcastically.

"Jeez ok, no need to be so hostile," he laughed.

Mackenzie chuckled under her breath and started to take out the ingredients.

When it came to the eggs, well, Johnny wasn't really the best at that.

To summarize, almost a quarter of the batter was filled with egg shells.

By the time they finished, the rain had completely stopped and a rainbow appeared.

Mackenzie took a tender cookie biting into it.

"Mmm, it tastes so good," she moaned while closing her eyes.

John smirked. "That's what she said."

Mackenzie gasped and slapped him  on the arm.

"Jeez woman, why so violent today?"

"We do not make sexual innuendos in this kitchen!"

John mumbled a sorry but we all know he didn't really mean it.

(a/n I'm really sorry for the next part.)

"I'm sorry, but I can make you feel better," Johnny smirked.

"Yeah? And how's that gonna happen?"

Johnny didn't reply and gave her a deep kiss.

Mackenzie immediately kissed back.

Well, let's just say that this time, it ended with the much more explicit option...

Author's note:

Second chapter of this book is finally up! I'm not really that happy with this one. And because I don't really know how to end a chapter, it's probably just gonna end up with them in bed. oOp. I don't really know if anyone is actually seeing this. But if you are leave a comment or a vote. Ok bye!
