(Ben's POV)

"No no no, cmon this ain't fair!" Jeff said as he struggled trying to get in first place at Mario cart, "You're Cheating!" He said with annoyance.

I snickered, "Nah, I'm not cheating...I'm playing fair and square.." I said floating in the air, being calm and focus as I play the video game.

"Tsk...yeah right!" Jeff huffed. He leans forward and is trying to focus on the game but isn't doing very well. He looks very tense from losing a simple video game that's easy to win.

Jeff was always that tense guy. I've known Jeff since we were in middle school. So about..22 or 23 years. Yes that makes us seem old. But we are immortal. It was back in 1988 when we first met. We were in 6th grade when we first met. He seemed like that emo kid. Always wear hoodies and jeans along with converse.

He always had his hair in an emo way. He always had headbuds in and walking down the halls, basically avoiding everyone.

But then one day we became lab partners. That's how we became best friends.

-Back in Middle School-

"Okay everyone please sit down at your lab tables and open your notebooks! We are about to start our lesson!" The teacher said, as she grabs her chalk and started writing instructions on the board.

I opened my notebook as I push my glasses up. I started writing the instructions on the board till I looked at the student that was sitting next to me. It was Jeff. He didn't really pay any mind to it. The teacher brings a tray with a frog pinned down on its back, its arms and legs wide out. I put on some gloves.

Jeff undos one of his earbuds from his left ear. "Do you know how to dissect a frog?" He asked as he flips his hair.

I looked at him, "Yes it's very simple, all you have to do is follow the instructions.." I said to him. He looks at me and rests his elbow on the desk. I got up and grabbed a scalpel and put it at the top of his belly, I take a deep breath and slowly sliced down the frogs belly, then I cut the other way and moved the flesh that was covering the insides.

"Wow you actually did it..." he said and looked at me, then at the frog, then back at me.

"Yes, like I said, you—" I get cut off

"It's very simple, all you have to do is follow the instructions" he said.

I tap my finger nails on the table and looked at the frog, "Yes you're correct.." I then looked up at him.

He grins a little.

We finished the project early. So we got the chance to talk and got to get to know each other more. We even played on my Nintendo while the others were still doing the assignment. Me and Jeff played Super Mario Bros.

We been best friends ever since.

I then heard Jeff doing his victory song and he was dancing. I looked at the TV. I saw that I lost. I didn't really care at all. All I was thinking about was Jeff. I couldn't help but smile a bit, "Congratulations Jeff..." I said to him.

He smiles and sits by me, he leans back and sighs happily, "Great victory.." he said.

"That's the only thing you've accomplished" I chuckled, "Well, except the frog dissection back in middle school"

He looks at me, "You still remember that back in high school?"

I smile and nodded, "Yeah I did.." I said and took my hat off.

"Yeah..." he said and smiled. "Well, I'm glad you became my best friend Ben..." he said that to me.

I twiddled my thumbs, "Um, yeah, best friend..." I said, as my heart started to slowly beat.

He faces me, "Are you ok? What's the matter? Is something going on?" He said.

I clear my throat and my hands started to shake. He softly grips them, "Ben? What's wrong—-" I then cut him off.

My eyes were closed. I couldn't see his reaction. But I then suddenly felt him go back and he pulled me on top of him. I felt him keep kissing me. I blushed softly and I kiss back.
