My footsteps echoed through the quiet hall. My palms became sweaty. It was silent. The synthetic chemicals filled my nostrils as I entered. I looked around to see many injured people. I knew the moment was approaching. I looked at the time, twelve o'clock exactly. The doctor entered the room and called out my name. I followed him as I clenched my fists to try and stop them from trembling.
I walked into the testing room alone and with the look of fear in my eyes. I breathed out deeply. "Don't worry, this won't hurt one little bit." Stated the doctor. Instantly I felt pain rushing throughout my entire body. I was on the verge of tears, but I had to stay strong. "Bottoms up" the doctor shouted. An unpleasant bitterness entered my mouth. I shivered. It wasn't over yet. I was guided into another room. I had to lie down while the machine scanned me.
I headed into the waiting room. My heart started racing. Sweat started beading on my forehead. I didn't know what to expect. Liquid gathered in the corner of my eyes, a tear wet my cheek within seconds I was pouring. I buried my head into my lap. For now all I could do is wait. Time passed by however one minute felt like five. My body started to shake knowing that my future would rely on the results of this one test. Sitting, waiting, the fact that I didn't know what was ahead was unbearable. Tears continued to roll down my cheek. I knew the wait was going to be long.
I heard a noise coming from my pocket. I reached to grab my phone. This message changed everything. I had to head home quickly. I wish the doctor would hurry. I needed my results now. I needed to go home to see if she was alright. I quickly took a deep breath. The feeling of not knowing kept on building. The doctor walked into the room, silence surrounding me, nervously awaiting the results. He started to speak and my body quivered. "Zoe Sugg?"
