They both steadily walked to the top of the roof, until Olivia felt her foot slip, and she rapidly fell backwards. Preparing herself for falling off the roof, she clenched her eyes shut and hoped for the best. She suddenly felt someone grab her waist, and the sensation of falling had vanished. Olivia slowly opened her eyes to see Alex holding her by the waist. Silence rang in their ears as they both took a moment to absorb what just happened.
He gradually pulled her up onto the top of the roof.
''Are... you okay?'' asked Alex.
''Y-Yeah... I'm fine. Thanks for catching me,'' Olivia stuttered.
They both sat down on the roof and looked up into the night sky. She smiled at the twinkling stars and sighed with relief.
