I stayed for a bit before light cracked on the horizon and I headed back to UA.
Everything was normal. I got there later than I did yesterday, which was planned, finished the lesson and was able to get an icecream after each class.
There was a whole school assembly that took place outside that was the most boring thing on earth since Avatar was released in cinemas. A party of villains that obviously wanted to capture me crashed the party, and I didn't want to stick around until the end. I tapped the shoulder of a nearby student and used their quirk to get away as quickly as possible.
I waited on the school's border for a while, thinking about what I should do. "Hey, terrible hider." A familiar voice mocked.
"Hey, What? I'm a terrible hider? Fine then, try-" He stopped me and leaned in close.
"Quiet, you are still a bounty, okay. If they find you, you have no freedom whatsoever." He whispered into my ear. He obviously wasn't looking at me when he pulled me closer to him, so when he backed away, he was shocked at what he saw. "What is with your ears?"
"Nothing. What's is with your scars?" I snarled.
"Okay, okay, point taken... but still. I'm an adult, it's fine for me to get hurt... but you are a kid and if big boss man finds out he'll kill me.." he frowned.
"Fine. I used to use way too many quirks at once. I found a way to control what bone I broke so I broke the smallest bone in my body, the bone in my ear." I explained. "But soon enough, my cartilage started to shatter every time I used too many quirk. What's the matter with that?"
"Alright Kid, if it stops you from damaging yourself too much, I guess I'll get away with it. Also, I was joking earlier, this is a great hiding spot." He laughed. I smiled at him and he smiled back. A warm feeling emerged in my chest, What was it?
I was back in my dorm after dark, but I felt a certain pair of heterochromic eyes watching me. "Todoroki, my dorm, get out." I said coldly as I switched on my bedroom light.
"Find the boy with too many quirks, they said. If you hadn't been here I would've guessed they were looking for either me or Midoriya, but of course, you have a quirk that lets you steal others." He replied in an extremely rude tone.
"So that's what this is? You're coming to turn me in? Such a hero you are." I smirked, folding my arms.
"No, I- I came here because I was worried...." he admitted, bowing his head in shame.
"I can handle myself. I got away from a high-class villain this morning just because of my beautiful knee-length joggers." I bragged, sticking out my leg to show off the joggers that got me out of Dabi's hell chair.
"Take them off- I- Uh- mean they're ugly, change!" He blushed, running out of the room. I smiled at my self and felt the same strange warm feeling in my chest.
"they are beautiful thanks!" I yelled down the corridor, before flopping into my bed and falling asleep.
