Meeting Luna

a/n: this miight be a lil cringey cuz i wrote this when my English still sucked. Enjoy it anyways also I wrote this with our majesty Queenlizzy365 but I'm not sure if she remembers :p

A sharp pain shot through my arm The smell of fresh blood wafted around the glistening, mysterious forest. Then the world turned black.

The soft whinny of something woke me. Looking up, I saw a golden and white unicorn stepping back into the glowing circle surrounding me. I felt... dizzy. Just then, the same unicorn stepped forward again. Raising her horn to the sky, golden ribbons danced through the air as white glitter drifted lightly around me. The pain that had been gripping my right arm vanished. "You're fine," the unicorn nuzzled my arm, checking it for blood. My eyes widened. "You can speak?" I trilled. The unicorn rolled her eyes. "Yes, we're from the Mystic Forest, so we can speak." The sound of laughter could be heard, with someone saying, "The poor ignorant child," "Oh yes, I am Luna,and my herd just saved you from a Mystifang," Luna informed me, sounding a little worried now. "Do you have ANY idea how dangerous they are?! You could have died when it bit you!" She shrieked. I didn't feel fear, because I hadn't seen it for myself.

Luna gazed at me. "I," she whispered, "will be your guardian. No Mystifang can touch you when I am around. There's one way in here, but no way out. You must be safe." I nodded, grateful for Luna and her promise. "How did you get here?" A tiny unicorn with an amber mane piped up. Once I opened my mouth to reply, the hurt from the experience a few days ago hit me like a sledgehammer.

"Out! Don't come back!" Jim kicked me in the stomach, hard. Slamming the door on me, he pulled my mother into their room, her eyes filled with regret, his with contempt. Jim was my mother's abusive boyfriend. After Papa's death, she was torn, and blindly got herself into a nasty relationship. Papa went missing, and when we found him, his body was torn to pieces. A single Mystifang tooth was stabbed through his heart. Mama went to a bar that night, and came home with Jim, both of them drunk. Their relationship started that night, and the terror started too. Jim locked me up, and went into the room with Mama. I'd hear screams, banging, and crashing. One day, I just got kicked out. Wandering around, I ended up here.

"Tragic!!" The alicorn twims Mika and Miko exclaim. Luna shook her head hard, her tears, glittering under the light of a thousand stars, scatter on the forest floor. Wiping away a tear from Luna's beautiful face, I felt a fizz and a spark on my hand.

"Let's show her our home now." Luna said quietly. She crouched down, offering her back. "Have a rest, you need one, " I silently got on her back, feeling her soft fur, a few inches deep, below me. I grabbed onto her mane tighter as she leapt over the tees and into the pitch black sky. Slowly, my eyes began to flutter closed and I fell asleep, peacefully on Luna's warm back.

"Elizabeth! Wake up! We're entering the portal!" Luna let me slip off her back, watching me run joyfully to see the pastel portal. Luna and Kiara, a blue unicorn, whinnied with joy.

"Step in, girl. Welcome to our world, " Kiara neighed. I was about to step in when a Mystifang pounced out of the darkness. It spat fiery purple flames, singeing Luna's mane and shooting scars across my arm. Kiara screeched and bolted with the Alicorn twins and the others. Only Luna remained.
