Natsus pov
Going up the elavator
I reached the floor and made my way towards his door, just when I was about to knock on the door I was surprised to hear approaching footsteps.
I held the roses and wine in my hands at the ready. To my surprise, It was Gray who had welcomed me to his home. I was quite disappointed, to say the least, but I guess he was saving the best for last. "come in pinky" Gray said with a laugh following at the end of his sentence, I decided to be the bigger person in this situation and just gave him a smile along with the wine I had bought. I insisted on keeping the roses with me to see my dear scarlets reaction. "so are you just gonna stand there? Sit down man, she'll be out in a few minutes." Gray said making his way to the sitting area. I followed him and sat down a good inches away from him, for once I actually felt intimidated by him.
In my head this was almost like a scene from a movie were the boyfriend and dad sit in the living room waiting for the girl to come downstairs and break the awkward silence.
The sound of heels could be heard behind the door next to the wall in front of us, in just seconds Gray was up on his feet ready to see Erza walk out that door.
The door opened and to put it in simple words. She took my breath away...Erza pov
(while Natsu was arriving)"Erza~" Gray called from the living room "what do you want?!" I called out from the bathroom. "nothing just wanted to bother you." Grarriving, his laughter echoed, I rolled my eyes and continued to fixed my make up. During the whole proposal, I guess I got teary-eyed causing my mascara to run down my cheek.
"Oh my goodness," I said in a rush, I looked in the mirror. "Damn I do look good in white." I said and then laughed, I could wait to just hang out with my two boys tonight but then I remembered the whole reason this afternoon was even happening. I sat on the bed looking down at my feet, " it's okay." I whispered to myself " I can do this!" and with that, I heard voices from the living room "its go time!"No one's pov.
The boys watched in awe as Erza walked out the door wearing a beautiful white dinner dress, even though Gray had already seen her he couldn't believe that she now belonged with him. Natsu, on the other hand, had his eyes almost popping out of his sockets. As she made her way towards the boys "beautiful.." could be heard from their mouths in unison.
Grays pov.
I watched as Erza approached Natsu to receive his gift a hug, of course, followed I kept a close eye on Natsu's hands as he wrapped them around Erzas waist.
And thank God he didn't try anything stupid or I would be going to jail.
Anyway, Ezra headed to the kitchen to place the flowers in water leaving me and Natsu talking in the living room about the company and work plans for this month.
Soon enough we heard the precious voice of Erza calling us to join her at the dinner table. She had the plates ready and served with food that smelled amazing, I looked at Natsu's direction to see his reaction and he was looking very hungry. We continued with business talk when both Natsu and I noticed Erza was looking upset or maybe just felt ignored, so we gave each other a nod in agreement.
"Erza tonight the food was amazing I loved it! 10/10." I said in hopes I would make her smile and to my success, it did "thank you Gray." she smiled and continued eating, I looked at Natsu and smirked. Now I know this is not a competition but it would be funny to see him try.
"babe I totally agree with ice cube over there, you did an amazing job with dinner and like expected I loved every single bit of it!" Natsu said raising a glass to her "Thank you Natsu, I hope one day you return the favor and surprise me with a good home cooked meal." she said with a smile on her face.
"you know I'm not that good at cooking." Natsu said continuing to have a conversation with Erza "oh shut up back then you weren't that bad." Erza said taking a sip of water.
It went silent.
