He loved her

She loved him

So why was this so difficult?

Why did problems have to occur?

Why did life have to ruin it?

Why.. did he have to do what he did?

Only SOME of the questions her therapist wrote down in her private book to ask Leila about next time she came, if she did.

She sat on her chair, elbows up against the desk, her hands near her temples, looking at the notes she wrote for her patients.

Right now, she was on Leila Evans. Who sadly was in a coma at the moment, due to her almost bleeding out, from cutting her wrists. Her parents found her alone in the bathroom, out cold, her body when touched had little to no heat.

The ambulance rushed her to the hospital as fast as they could. Doing as much as possible in the vehicle that they couldn't wait to do in the actual ER.

Once they got her safely in the hospital, and she didn't wake up after being given tons more ounces of blood, the doctor announced that she was in a coma, and they didn't know if she would ever wake up.

Ms Kiens heart yearned for Leila. She was such a beautiful girl, who had such a bright future ahead of her. The only problem, was one boy. Who treated her like a queen, who told her he'd always love her, who was there for her in her darkest moments. But what he did... screwed with everything he said and did. In that moment of weakness, he showed no care for Leila and let her slip away, and now, she was in a coma in the hospital, chains on her wrists attached to the bed, lying down with a pale face with wonder.

Her parents, how would they cope? How do they feel? Their only daughter has gone through so much and now they might lose her.

Leila is strong though. I believe she can get through this.

She doesn't want to die, she just wants the pain to end.

I closed my book shut, full of confidential information, when knock sounded at my closed door.

"Come in" my voice feeling so small at the big empty room besides 2 chairs, a desk and a bookshelf with many books slanted on the shelves.

The door opened slowly, and just by looking at them.

I knew who they were.

Flashback

"So Leila, i know you're new here. But tell me about something or someone, that makes your heart skip a beat, or that makes you happy, in the days that aren't so bright." I spoke with confidence, my pen near my paper, ready to write down any real important information she spoke.

"Well.. there's this one guy.. he's sort of been helping me.. with my depression. He just knows how to brighten my day without really doing.. anything." She says, her voice sounding small, and fragile, in a place with no heating vents available.

"Would you mind explaining a little bit about him, to me? If you don't mind, of course." I spoke with quite ease.

"Sure, i don't mind." She spoke.

Her voice quiet in the lit up room, the only noise to be heard was her talking and the pen running across the paper. If you listen closely, even their breathing, could be made out.

"He is.. gentle. And kind. He has a heart as big as the world. He cares for me with such ease, and kindness. He shows nothing but love and gentleness towards me. He's tall, 6 foot 1, to be exact. He had perfect chocolate brown hair, even darker really, almost black. You could never get tired of running your hands through it, not that i have!" She spoke so quickly it even made me chuckle at how nervous she was that she might've said the wrong thing, or said too much.

"His eyes, shine so bright, sparkles in them, like he's never faces an ounce of sadness, i dont know why he would want me. Someone sad, depressed, and lonely. I didnt have a purpose to do anything great in the world. I was just living here. His eyes, the color of golden chocolate brown, when shown in the light, hint of green splashes through them.. if you get close enough to his face. The little mole he has, on his cheek, his perfect nose. His perfect body build. A man who works out like his life depends on it. He's so healthy and hard working, you know he does film? He has a 6 pack that could kill, and his jawline as shark as a knife. Everything about him, just radiates happiness, excitement, and adventure. I'm beyond glad he showed up in my life when he did. I just dont understand.. why me?" She spoke, as her head went down and looked towards her shoes.

Her eyes shown with such love, luck, happiness, a sparkle in them when she talked about this boy, showing how much she truly cared for him. Even through her darkness, he shown through as her only light.

My timer went off and that meant her appointment was over. I sighed. Closing my book, writing in my thoughts of this 'perfect' boy she described.

"Alright Leila, thank you, this has been a good session. But it must end now. Thank you for opening up to me as much as you did, very rare for someones first time. Hang in there. Our next appointment is next monday, at 3pm. Okay?" I exclaim.

"Okay, thats fine." She said, her head coming up from looking at her shoes.

I give her a warming smile as she makes her way out. She gives me a little one back.

The door shut, with the quiet air around us, the only sound to be heard was the click of the door, as it shut.

I re opened my book to look at some more notes i wrote of my observations of her.

"Leila, seems very rare. Her heart seems so big, but she seems so broken, hurt. She only came to me bc her depression was just hard to handle. Im glad to be seeing someone like her, i think she can definitely make it through this tough time, she's such a strong young girl. Only 18."

I wrote.

Flashback over

He peeks his head in, his perfect luscious brown almost black hair, appealing to my eyes first. Then i looked down to his facial features. And noticed the little differences than when Leila first explained him.

There was no trace of happiness in his face, his eyes, even his body language. He looked defeated.

"Ethan" i breathed out.

"What?" He asked, his face once full of sadness, now full with confusion.

"How do you know my name?" He asked, his eyes finally making eye contact with mine.

Crap.
