Your car door had slammed shut before Jack could even make sense of it all. You were long gone when he finally got the feeling back in his legs to chaseafter you. It was too late. You were so angry you didn't even wait to see if hecame after you, like you usually did when you were mad at him. This wasn't likethat. This time, you had every intention of leaving and no intention of coming back.He didn't appreciate you, he didn't want you. All he did was fool around and act like your relationship didn't even matter. Tears of frustration were falling down your face but you wiped them away, harshly. You didn't want to cry over him.
Your house didn't seem like home without Jack there, without even the promise of his presense soon. You were too angry to be upset. You threw yourself at all the pictures of the two of you, letting them all shatter on the floor. All the soft toys and other gifts he'd gotten you, you just threw them, brutally to the ground, letting out all your anger. Then all that was left was the upset, and you fell to the floor in devastation. How could you not be with Jack anymore? It just didn't make any sense. You had never doubted that you would always be together. You always thought that would be it.
Suddenly, you wretched over in pain, a horrible agony shooting through your stomach. No. Not now. Why now?! Struggling to your feet, you grabbed your phone, but then who could you call? Not Jack. You should, but you were too mad at him, you didn't want him there. Alex. You had to call Alex, he was your brother, he was the only one you trusted. You practically screamed down the phone to him, the agony rising with every second. He didn't even ask why you were calling him and not Jack at this vital moment, all he said was that he would be right there, and soon enough, he was. He looked more panicked than usual, and you couldn't help but feel, irnoically, sorry for him, as he watched you roll about on the floor, in agonising pain. "What do I do?!" He yelled suddenly. The pain had taken over by this point and you were angry that he was being so stupid
"Get me to the god damn hospital JACKASS!" You screamed, making him jump. He grabbed you and carried you outside into the car, putting you safely in the passangers seat.
"Why is Jack not here?" He asks, frantically speeding through the city trying to get to the hospital
"I don't feel like talking about this right now Alex!" You yell, your voice taking on a kind of exorcist tone.
"You have to tell him this is happening! He deserves to know!"
"He deserves nothing! Now just drive and shut up!" When you get to the hospital, Alex carries you in and you need to go straight to the delivery room. The nurse tells you that you're fully dialated and it's time to start pushing. You realise Alex isn't there, and you start to panic. You're already yelling from the pain, and now you're yelling and crying, shouting for Alex. Then, just as you think it can't get any worse, that mess of black and blonde hair runs through the door.
"GET OUT!" You scream, as soon as you see him. For a moment, he looks as though he might, but then he swallows and carries on into the room.
"JACK FUCKING GET OUT! I DON'T WANT YOU HERE! WHERE'S ALEX?"
"I DON'T CARE, I'M NOT LEAVING YOU! IT DOESN'T MATTER WHERE ALEX IS!" You don'thave time to argue, the contractions start and you are forced to startpushing. It seems like the longest time of your life, and the most painful. Some time through it, Jack starts to hold your hand, but you don't notice. Then all of a sudden, you realise, it's over. From the end of the bed, you see your baby girl. So tiny. So beautiful.
Her hair is exactly like Jacks. Dark and thick. When you finally realise that Jack is still holding your hand, you forget about all your anger and upset over him. None of that matters anymore. Maybe it's just time to grow up. The nurse hands you your daughter, and you hold her so carefully in your arms, tears falling down your cheeks. She is the most beautiful thing you ever saw. You look up at Jack, and for the first time ever, youmsee him, tears pouring from his beautiful eyes. Behind him, you see Alex in the doorway, also crying.
"You wanna hold your daughter?" You ask him, smiling through your tears. He sniffs, wiping away his tears, sweetly
"Y-yeah" He answers. You hand her over, and as he has her in his arms, he begins to cry again
"You're the most beautiful thing since your mother." He hiccups
"I'm never gonna let anyone hurt you, I promise" He looks to you then, and plants a tender kiss on your lips. Finally, you have a family.
