A drunken introduction

Bri had been lounging around in her dorm for..maybe two hours? The only time she remembered it being was 3:30, and it had at least been a couple hours since she last checked the time. Exhaling an exasperated sigh, as the thoughts came to her mind about how tonight might end. It took everything out of her to agree to this little "girls' night out", she hadn't been intimate with anyone since her ex and had no plans on waking up next to a stranger come the next morning, that had always been Bri's thing and as much as she loved her, following in her footsteps didn't sound like an ultimate goal of hers. Just kicking back, stripped into pajamas, sprawled onto her bed, and a horror movie or comedy marathon sounded like the best way to end a night. But, of course she had already gave her word to come, and she wasn't very big on breaking it, either. Lazily rising to her feet, the blonde grasped her brush that lie on her study and desk and began to brush through the tangles that laying on her pillow brought on, carefully penetrating each strand to loosen up the mess on top of her hair. "I don't want to leave this house", she thought to herself, orbs falling to her front door, a pout present on the girl's mouth. Hm, maybe if she called Bri and changed plans to a movie night, she would accept. "No, no, no.", the voice in her head echoed. Clubbing is probably just what she needed at this time.

A buzz coming from her desk table had awoken her from her muse. Quickly clutching the device, the blonde slid her unlock icon to reveal a new text message, reading the letters across the phone made her heart skip a beat. "Ugh. Why? I'm supposed to be trying to get over her, why is she texting me?" The blonde silently thought, free palm falling to the side of her face, because honestly she was just mentally and emotionally exhausted from being played with. She was finally ready to be on the other end of the torture, rather than always the victim of heart destruction. Flinging phone to her bed, forcing herself to forget her ex ever texted, she didn't even want to know what the contents of the message held. "It was /her/ choice to break up and now she is going to have to get over it, just like I had to", Alex's voice in her head came chiming in again and she was ready to be in the company of other people, and stop the overthinking.

Bri and Alex met up at her dorm and decided to take a cab to the location of the club, seeing as they may both end up drinking, both had agreed on a cab or uber being a safer alternative in concerns of transportation back to one another's place. Alex wandered to the bar the moment the two had entered the club. It was just as Alex had expected, a dark setting, disco lights flashing in every direction, and sweaty, horny, bodies grinding against each other, hoping to get lucky by the end of the night. How pathetic. One thing Alex hadn't missed was playing "the single game", she had been in a relationship for far too long to ever even imagine being single again. Funny how things work, right? You invest yourself, your time, your effort, your heart, all in the end to be abandoned and alone in the dark, again. The saying "love hurts", it's a fucking understatement. Bri perched down on the stool in front of the bar table, signaling the bartender over with middle and pointer finger. The bartender beamed a toothy smile at both Bri and Alex. "What can I get you ladies tonight?" He asked politely, rag in his big palm, cleaning out a shot glass, tentatively glancing between both girls. "Two shots of vodka, please" Bri's voice held seduction, tongue rolling around the perimeters of her upper lip salaciously. Alex rolled blue hues and glanced away, stare roaming over each soul in the club, looking for something interesting, maybe she should keep her options open, in case she felt a little optimistic tonight.

Bri gently nudged Alex, making her jump slightly in surprise. "Y-yeah?" Alex stumbled over the single word, pulling a giggle from Bri's red lipstick tiers. "See anything you like?" Bri playfully purred in Alex's ear, her brows quirking in question. "Nope" Alex casually responded, shoulders rolling into a shrug. "And I doubt I will" Alex added, curling lithe digits around the shot glass that the bartender had just set down in front of her, lifting the small glass, head falling back to drain every content of the shot into her mouth. A burning instantly became evident in her throat as she fought back a gag, Alex loved to drink, but wine and beer was always more her thing, hard liquor took some getting used to for her, /especially/ straight. "That's what I'm talking about." Bri nodded approvingly, following suit, glass in her hand, throwing back the shot in a record of 5 seconds. "Whooo!" Bri shouted, once all contents had swirled down her throat, slamming the glass down on the wood table. Alex's eyes had widened at her friend's loud screaming, nevertheless a chuckle escaped her mouth as she looked around to see if Bri had caught any attention from the closeby clubgoers. "Keep them coming, babe." Bri ignored Alex's response, flashing the bartender a flirty wink.

Alex faded out Bri and began to enter her own world, orbs sweeping over each individual inside the club. Woah. Alex had do a double take when a beautiful brunette came in her sight, she had a red dress on that seemed to hug every curve of hers, Alex couldn't help but gape, and by the knowing look the said blonde shot her, she could tell she'd been staring for way too long, immediately averting gaze in a panic, Alex bit her lip nervously, she could feel her heart racing faster than the speed of light. Bri glanced over at Alex, brows furrowed in confusion. "Everything alright, babe?" Bri skeptically questioned her blonde friend. "Yep." Alex answered way too quickly, causing a knowing smile to stretch across Bri's lips. "Someone's nervous. Who is she?" Bri lightly bumped shoulders with Alex. "Cutie at 12:00" Alex murmured quietly, signaling over her shoulder. Bri went to snag a glance, but Alex cleared her throat frantically. "Don't look" Alex almost whined out, not wanting to draw any further attention to herself. "Go talk to her" Bri demanded, swirling a digit around the rim of her what Alex thought to be third shot. "No. Are you crazy? Like she would go for someone like me" A scoff exited Alex's lips as she pushed away the idea of actually approaching what in her eyes was the hottest person in the club. "You know, Alex, before you and Savannah even got together, you used to be so confident, I feel like in some way she decreased your ego to an all time low" Bri's words came out genuinely, she really had always gave her the best advice and insight on herself and everything around her, but she had a hard time taking criticism, something she had realized about herself shortly after she met Bri. "You're probably right" Alex stubbornly admitted, it took a lot for her to finally come to terms with the truth that she might not exactly like.
