Somewhere in the Gem Sea.

A blue ray and a red ray soared through blue sky like lightning.

Angele’s body was surrounded with red light and there were blue light dots dancing around his right hand. It almost looked like the dancing light dots were alive.

He acquired those light dots from the traitor of Axis of Time. They were the power of time.

“You’re not going to run forever.” There was a smile on Angele’s face. “You’re worried that I’m going to kill you, right? However, that may not be the case. You just need to promise me one thing and we can work together.”

The blue ray twitched slightly and a tired voice responded, “What do you want?”

He barely had any choice—if he had not underestimated Angele’s power, none of this would have happened. The only thing he wanted was the key, but he made the wrong choice.

“I have a research project that needs some help. You just need to follow my orders, and I’ll let this one slide,” Angele responded. “You and I are just strangers. There’s a chance that we may even become friends during the research. The research will not hurt you and it might even increase your power. It’s a win-win situation.”

The man’s body was surrounded by blue light. His body was translucent, but it slowly liquified—it seemed like he had already used most of his energy.

The man heard Angele’s word and hesitated. He was not sure if Angele was lying or not. After the experiment he conducted in Axis of Time, he started to having trouble thinking sometimes.

When he tried his best to focus, the power of time slowly created a scene in his sight. The scene was displayed on numerous black and white paintings.

The man was about to accept Angele’s offer, however, he suddenly heard himself screaming in pain. He felt like he was seeing the future. He was imprisoned in a small cell and his head was dissected. A man in a black robe was doing something to his brain.

The terrifying scene made his body tremble. He did not respond to Angele’s words and suddenly increased his speed again.

He ignored all of Angele’s following persuasion attempts. Angele listed a lot of convincing reasons, but the man did not respond at all; he was getting a bit impatient.

Angele’s expression slowly turned cold, and he was no longer speaking in a gentle tone.

“So, it seems like you’ve made your choice…” Angele spoke in a cold tone.

The man still remained silent, he was just flying.

Angele stopped talking and started chasing after the man again. They were both flying over the Gem Sea.

Although the man had good Stamina, Angele could feel that the man’s condition was getting worse and worse. However, he still had a lot of extra energy in his body. He had been chasing the man for three days, and he was confident that he could fly for months without running out of energy.

On a random island in the Gem Sea.

The white island looked like a humongous caterpillar that was lying on the surface of the sea.

There were some buildings and coconut trees on the island. The humans here had brown skin. They were maintaining their farms; some of them were just carrying boxes or washing clothes.

Suddenly, they all raised their heads and looked at the area above the island.

There were more than ten wizards in blue robes floating in the air. They were the ones who owned this island—they were from a wizard organization called the Blue Badge.
