Happiness

Seulgi POV

Nervous.

That's the word that explains how I'm feeling right now. I am currently recording my lines in our debut song "Happiness". I had no problem with my recording until they told me some famous idols were coming to visit. I know one of them is Kai sunbae from EXO, who is under the same label as me, but they didn't tell me who the other idol is. All I know is that he's one of Kai sunbae's really close friends.

"Seulgi, are you ready to start recording?" The producer asked me from the other side of the glass.

I quickly shook off my thoughts, it was time to focus. "I'm ready!" I responded, giving him the thumbs up just in case he didn't hear me through the glass.

Even though it was just a few lines I sang my heart out. This is my DEBUT song so I needed to give it my all.

Almost a whole hour went by and I was given a break. I shut my eyes and leaned my head on the sheet music stand. Singing this hard for an hour has completely taken all of my energy.

I lifted my head up and looked through the glass. The door to the recording studio has just been opened. My producers began to give bows to the person who has just entered the room. Kai sunbae was finally here so I decided to leave the booth and greet him.

"Seulgi this is Kai, and Kai this is Seulgi." The producer looked me in the eye with a deadly glare, probably to tell me to give my respects.

"Hi nice to meet you, I'm in the new band Red Velvet." I stated, giving him a bow.

"Hey there, nice to meet you too." He reached out his hand to shake mine, which I happily obliged. "A friend of mine is also here let me introduce you."

He turned around and opened the door. He grabbed his friend by his jacket and dragged him to the front. There was no need for introductions.

"This is my friend Ji-"

"Jimin." I finished for him.

I looked at him from head to toe. I thought I would be prepared to see him when the chance came but this was all too sudden. I hid my blushing face and pointed my head downward.

"Jimin I think shes a fan of yours." Kai stated, probably to break the ice.

I wasn't looking but I could tell Jimin was coming closer. I removed my hands from my face and looked up, before I realized it, he was already right in front of me.

"Seulgi it's not nice to hide after I've been waiting for all these years."

I quickly gave him a hug, dug my head onto his chest and slowly began to cry. It was finally happening, after all these years I was finally back into the arms of the one I loved since I was just a child.

"Woah there, maybe we should give them some time alone, yeah?" Kai said, tapping the shoulders of my producers before taking their leave.

It was just Jimin and I now.

He started to slowly let go of me but I stopped him by pulling him closer and hugging him tighter. "No, not yet, just give me a few more minutes."

He chuckled at my statement. "I waited this long so a few more minutes couldn't hurt."

After a few minutes of embracing we sat down on the couch, that conveniently happened to be in the studio, and talked about these past few years.

I always thought I had it rough during the trainee days but hearing what he had to go through made me realize what I went through was nothing. He was only brought on to BTS because of his dancing and through a recommendation from V. He was almost cut several times for his lack of singing skills even though he only trained for one year before even debuting. All of that was just the beginning, don't get me started on that ridiculous diet he went on, just hearing that made me upset.

I leaned my head on his shoulder and grabbed his hand. "Don't worry, I'm here for you now."

He chuckled and squeezed my hand. "Isn't that what I'm supposed to say? I might be younger than you but I'm still technically your sunbae."

I quickly let go of his hand and stopped leaning on his shoulder. I slapped him on the arm (not too hard) and stared at him with wide eyes.

"Shut up. Here put your number on my phone and add yourself as a contact. I'm not going another day without talking to you again." I took my phone from out of my pocket and handed it to him.

He typed his number into my phone and I quickly grabbed my phone from him right after.

"Hey, I didn't get to add myself as a contact yet."

I looked at him and smiled. "I know but I want to put the contact name." I replied. "What should I put? Chim, Chimchim, or Love?"

I could tell he didn't like the first two options by the way he gave me dagger eyes right after I said them.

"Theres no way I'm going to let you put anything chim related as my contact name. Just put love." And with that Jimin was now a contact on my phone.

"I'll call you after I'm done recording and then you could add me as a contact. You should get going." I said as I got up and pulled his hands to get him up as well.

"You're right I promised Kai that we would go out to eat something. I'll talk to you later." He let go of my hands and quickly went for the door.

"Wait!"

He turned around in confusion and stopped in his tracks. I ran to him, hugged him one last time, and looked up to his face. I got closer and closer until our lips met. The kiss was short but it was long enough for two lovers who just met after a few years of no communication. 

"Finally our first kiss!"

"Stay safe okay?" I stated.

He nodded and smiled in response, then left. I sat back down on the couch and stared at Jimin's contact info on my phone. Just a few more hours and we'll be able to talk again.

This goes without saying; but I'm even more pumped to finish recording.
