Dylann was the first person that I knew to touch Death. She was my best friend, my better half, my soul sister. It's been four months since the outbreak, and every day I pray to God that I get the chance to see Dylann again, but will it be in life or after?

I sit at the glass table in the living room, a plate of pancakes on my lap. My dog, Gracie sits next to me. My parents sit across the room in small sofa, watching me intently.

"You don't have to watch me like I'm some freak! I'm fine!" I blurt out after a couple minutes of silence.

My mom presses a button on her phone and my father takes my plate away.

"No! You can't do this! I'm all you have!" I begin to cry and attempt to hug my mom but she pulls back.

Gracie comes over to my side, worried for me. I pet her in a crying silence until the Angels knock at our door.

"Dad please. . ." I hug Gracie one last time.

Dad grabs Gracie so she can't follow me, and she whimpers. One of the Angels grab me and try to pull me out the door.

"Why don't you love me anymore!? I'm your daughter!" I scream, trying to break free of the man's grasp.

"You're not our daughter, but an echo of what she once was." Mom looks me dead in the eye and doesn't care that I'm going to be taken away.

I hear a taser behind me and know what's coming. The man shocks me with the taser. I scream in pain and then black out from it all.

The only thing that haunts me, is that I never got the chance to say, "Goodbye," and neither did they.
