Also, yes, this shot is based on hayley kiyoko's song.
----
A cigarette was carelessly hanging from her lips the night she saw her for the first time. Gray clouds of smokes were sporadically coming out of her mouth while her cold hands searched for shelter in the pockets of her black leather jacket.
It had been a long day, too busy if she were being honest. Her body was resting against the door of her car and with nonchalance, she ran her hands through her hair; ashes falling from the tip of her cigarette right onto her jacket's sleeve but she didn't seem to mind.
She took the cigarette between her fingers a few minutes later, putting it away for a moment from her mouth full of smoke. She was standing there alone; all of her attention now on the crowd of people in front of her, each individual walking by with a different story on their path, each life written with distinctive purposes. She was fascinated by the uneven images in front of her. What any other person would consider as monotonous and average, she saw it as an opportunity to make the art of every day shine and elevate it to big scales. There was no doubt she loved to find beauty in small things.
But it doesn't mean that she's not attracted to beauty in its highest definition.
She reached for the camera that was hanging around her neck with her hand and with both, raised it to level with her eyes; ready to do what she does best. A sequence of 'clicks' could be heard in the air of the night, mixing with the restless sound of the crowd.
Click
Click
Click
And it was through the lenses of her camera that she saw her for the first time.
Wearing black from head to toe and only her brown hair providing color to her factions, though there really was no need for infinities of palettes when she walked the way she walked; like thousands of spotlights were following her on each step, like she was the canvas of a work of art worthy to look at.
She proceed to take the camera away from her eyes, wanting to look at this girl by herself just to make sure it wasn't her mind making up unrealistic fantasies. The beautiful stranger immediately owned her attention, it was that easy and simple; she felt helplessly entranced by the girl making her way in unbothered steps. Jennie followed her with the camera, zooming in and focusing on the mesmerizing smile that kept growing on her face. She couldn't even ponder about the reason behind that ever growing smile, because at the sound of the 'click' of her camera the girl turned around to see her; her captivating smile captured in a photo.
And in just a blink, the girl disappeared in the crowd.
Her feet took a while to make any kind of response, too dizzy and disoriented to set her limbs into motion. Finally, step by step she started moving through the crowd in a slow pace. But it was helpless, she was walking without a clear path or destination; it seemed impossible to even shake the image of the girl's smile off her mind. Suddenly she stopped, finally realizing she was searching for someone that she didn't even know; there wasn't a single trace or clue of where she could be or who this person was. She looked down at her camera and the picture was still there, that same smile that she knew would haunt her constantly from now on.
She had to find her but she didn't know how.
"Something tells me that you were looking for me"
Any other time Jennie would have easily used her charm, would have even answered back with something as equally clever or witty, but this time her mouth opened up providing nothing but silence to the conversation. Soon her knees started to falter and oh god, was that an angel in front of her?
