so, I know it's not august yet (the month I posted that one picture) but that tag reminded me that I really don't update this for shit, even though I have improved quite a bit. So, here's my Redraw of that one angel picture I drew a while back.

Okay, first of all, what I don't like:
Face: Asymetrical
Line art: looks too sketchy
Shadowing: Either too light, too dark, not really blended, or just bad in general
Hair highlights: they just don't look good
weird eye cloth and glowey yellow eye shit: not enough detail, glow not blended thoroughly enough, not giving the effect I wanted.
The hair. Just, all of it: not enough detail, not giving off the effect I wanted
blush: too pink, not blended well enough
lips: bottom is too pouty looking, to me anyways. top is too sharp and only to one side
spear thing blade shape: too curve
clothing: just not..........realistic I guess? like, that's not really how clothing would behave irl
Now the stuff I do happen to like:
weird magic swirly thingies: honestly imo the best thing about this picture besides the wings.
wings: look at those feathery bastards they're perfect
spear thing coloring: not too many shadows, which is kind of a down, but I mean hey, at least I got my ideal colors!
that one leg: okay look, I don't usually do this kind of pose and that leg really gave me a challenge, and if i'm being honest, I think I nailed it on the head!
crown....thing?: idk I just like it
lips: okay look, it's a love hate relationship
ears: ears.
sleeves of the shirt: I like the (accidental) wrinklage(?) at the armpits and the weird flowiness of it.
hair swoosh: thwooth
