Lessons at the Waterpark

My family continued our Universal studios journey today at volcano bay. I have to say I saw a lot today that made me remember the good.

1.

Waterslides are like roller coasters (see my earlier page).

2.

So today when lightning was spotted in the area we had to get out of the lazy river, except this wasn't an ordinary river, it was deeper and faster. When I tried to get to the exit I lost my family in  confusion (I am a minor) and I couldn't get to the exit. Suddenly I boy my age hanging on the wall pulled me next to him, and I was able to get out. I didn't have time to say thank you and I don't know who he is and there probably is 0 chance he'll read this, but thank you for pulling me out of that water.

Guys there are still good people in this world. I saw lots of other small acts of kindness today, little things that made me proud to be human. A life guard singing a song to a child scared of a ride. A man stopping to take a photo for two people- and he didn't even speak the same language as them!

As for being separated from my family, I was able to find them after setting the entire park on lock down.

3.

We are human we have limits.

At a waterpark you might want to spend every second on a slide.

But don't forget to take care of yourself. Eat lunch. Wear and reapply sunscreen. If you are traveling with a group and your friends are moving to fast for you don't be afraid to ask them to slow down.

And don't forget- follow the rules and listen to your lifeguards.

Humanity is beautiful.
