The Change

Chapter 3

When I opened eyes  there were a bright light shinning in my eyes. For a moment there I thought hey maybe I finally made it to heaven , but then I heard voices that says "she is awake".

I'm so scared

I have so many questions like , what the hell happened to me and why am I in a hospital. That is when my thoughts have been answered.

"Miss , you have been in a really bad accident and some of the people with you was injured really bad and two of them died." Doctor Chang a women with long black hair and hazelnut eyes says to me.

This can't be happening to me. I'm supposed to go to Hollywood tomorrow or is it tommorow already. Which of my friend are dead?

I try to reach my hands into my hair but there are so much pain in my arms.

"She is having a seizure doctor. We got to operate on her now or she will not make it." I voice next to me calls out.

When I open my eyes my mother was sitting next to me on my hospital bed. I'm in so much pain but it is like I can't seem to get a word out.

"Oh honey. What had happened to you? You had so much plans for your future." My mom starts to cry.

Am I injured that bad that my mom is crying about my future?

"Mom" I force out  , it's more of a whisper.

"Honey , just be silent. I can see that you are struggling to speak and you will just injure yourself more than you already have." My mom says softly.

"Wheres's dad?" I force out again in a low whisper.

"Home. I told him that he should go and rest at home , because he was here almost everyday while you were in a coma." My mom says.

A coma? What are my mother talking about. I can't have been in a coma. That is just insane.

"How long?" Is all I can muster up to say.

"About 1 year." My mom says.

I'm having a mental break down. I couldn't have been in a coma for a year. What about my friends. Oh shit , my friends."Where are they!" I yell.

"Who?" My mom asks confused.

"My friends mother. Who else?" I ask hysterically.

"Oh" Is all she says.

"Mom talk now" I demand.

"Let me call the doctor firts." She tries to avoid my question , but that ain't gonna happen.

"No mom! You're going to tell me now or I will yell as loud as I can and rip out all of these needles placed in my arms." I threaten my mom.

Her eyes almost pops out of her skull , but she needs to tell me the truth now and I would not care to do as I say.

"Ok Cammy , just don't have a break down. Listen carefully and don't do anything irresponsible after hearing this." My mom talks in a calm and motherly voice , while running her hand through my hair. "That night 1 year ago when you and your friends went out. That was the night that I told you that your sister had cancer." My mother says and tears are starting to rim her eyes.

"Yeah , what then?"

"You guys was really drunk on your way back and you crashed into the side of Cliffhanger bridge. You where in the back seat , Sophé was next to you and Abby was also in the back with you , but unfortunately Lucas was driving and Courtney was also at the front. The car was dangling from the bridge and Courtney and Lucas crashed through the windshield and fell into the lake and drowned." My mother says while tears run down my cheeks while she is full on crying now.
