"Of course, she'll accompany you," Mr. Malik spoke.
My head quickly turned towards his direction in astonishment. He was leaning against the door frame, staring at his brother and I.
I glared at him as the frown on my face became more evident and my eyebrows furrowed together out of frustration. He had to be joking or maybe this was his way of causing me the most utter pain. I hated parties like those, regardless who was throwing them. I had been to enough in my life and knew first hand how people at these occasions can be.
Before I could open my mouth to say anything, Mr. Malik began walking toward us.
"She will accompany you to abbu's dinner. I'm sure the maid doesn't have anything better to do," he stated to his brother, while only making eye contact with him.
What a awful human being!
"Excuse me," I interrupted him as he continued to glare down at Kayden. "I can speak for myself, sir. I also don't think this is a good idea. It's quite unprofessional for me to going out and accompanying your brother to a family event".
Both Kayden and Zayn peered down at me after I finished talking.
"What's unprofessional is you being half naked on the first day on the job. Oh and kicking my headlights," he barked at me.
"I apologize, Miss. Anayah, but I don't think you know what unprofessional means".
Ain't he charming man...
"Mr. Malik, I do very much apologize for all that. However, none of that is relevant at the moment. I don't feel comfortable with this arrangement," I reasoned.
"It is relevant if you'd like to keep your job," he threatened.
Both Kayden and I stared at him is disbelief. He was threatening to fire me if I didn't oblige. I knew in many ways his action and treatment towards me were illegal. But this man has so much money behind him, keeping his head above the ground.
I on the other hand worked ten hours a day throughout the week to keep myself in school, while not living out of my car. He purposely left me with no option. He knew I was defenseless against him in this situation.
Kayden said nothing and stared at me, waiting for me to give my answer. I glared at Mr. Malik and nodded, "What time should I be ready by?"
"Be ready by 9, I'll come pick you up," Kayden finally spoke.
I turned toward him and nodded. I reached into the pocket of my jacket and pulled out pen, as well as a paper. I quickly scribbled my address and handed it to him, "This is where I live".
He nodded and took the paper out of my hand. I walked past both of them and made my way out the door. I could feel myself suffocating inside that kitchen the longer I stood there.
I hurried to my car and quickly unlocked the driver's door. Buckling myself into my seat, I started the ignition.
"Tomorrow night is going to be a shot show," I mumbled to myself as I drove away from Malik's mansion.

"I can't believe you got invited?" Beth shrieked as she watched me get dress.I wore a satin baby blue chain dress that ended to my ankles, while the dress was completely backless. The silky fabric hugged every curve on my body and complimented my tan skin as well. I decided to match my dress with dangling sterling sliver hoop earrings. Simplicity was my key to success.
"I didn't really get invited," I told Beth as I patted down the nude lipstick on my lip in a shear attempt to make me look presentable.
"He basically blackmailed me with my job."
"Yeah, that's still an invitation!"
"Since when is threatening to fire someone an invitation," I questioned at my delusional roommate.
She shrugged her shoulders as she watched me apply some mascara, "I don't know, but I think it is when your boss is yummy."
"Ew, Beth you're so gross."
"Say whatever you want to say, but Anayah you look amazing," she gushed from behind me.
I gave her a small smile and nodded. I didn't want Zayn to fire me based on how I looked for tonight. It seemed like he'd humiliate me and easily terminate me from Merry Maids all in one blink.
Even though, I wasn't completely excited about going out to some formal party. In a way I was excited to see Kayden. He was obnoxious, yet sweet. He wasn't a bad looker either. Though, his character is kind of questionable. Something him and his brother had in common. He still seemed a lot more humbled compared to Zayn.
I added the last finishing touch ups to my make up and made my way
