ginny whirled around with dirt on her face, completely out of breath, and kicked the ball to one of her teammates. regardless of whether or not luna (!!!) was there, she had to play as hard as possible. her team, the Gryffindor Lions, were about to win- she just had to score this one goal. her teammate passed the ball back to her and she drove it forward, kicking it past the goalie and into the goal.

"we did it!!" she yelled happily. her team swarmed around her, lifting her up. they were all laughing and smiling when suddenly she looked over to the stands and there was luna, looking like an angel on earth.

"hey, can you make an excuse for me? ive gotta go get my girl," she whispered to tonks as she clambered down.

"of course gin, dont worry about it!" tonks replied with an excited smile- she knew what luna meant to ginny.

ginny ran off to the stands before stopping at the bottom to catch her breath and relocate luna. right as she got her bearings, she noticed luna was standing right in front of her.

"hi, good job," luna said in a voice so sweet it shouldve been illegal.

ginny smiled and looked up at her. "we only won because you were here, baby."

luna blushed at her words and ran a hand through her pale blonde hair. "uh, well, you know, i came to say hi, and now i have, so-"

ginny cut her off. "uh, a couple of my teammates and i are going to get something to eat right now, actually. did you want to come?"

"sure, that seems fun!"

ginny smiled. "it's a date!"

luna blushed. "shut up, jerk!"

"you love it, baby."
