As I stepped foot off the tour bus, I received a text from an Unknown number. I scrunched my face up in a confused expression, before reading the iMessage. 'Hey Jo, this is Sai 🧡. Just wanted you to have my new number, and I also just wanted to tell you that I miss you ... a lot. I see you out here grindin' and accomplishing those "wild" dreams we once talked about. I'm so proud of you bub 😚.'
My facial expression went from pure confusion to annoyance; my mind began to race and become cluttered with thoughts. "Why would she even think hitting me up is a good idea? After all the pain she caused me ..."
I rolled my eyes before screenshotting the message, then exiting out the message to send the screenshot to my groupchat with Ro and Zach. Once I sent it, and awaited a reply, there was a knock on the front door of the tour bus.
I swung the door open, only to reveal Nicholas Mara ... which was quite a pleasant surprise. A small grin appeared on my face, as he beamed his killer smile in my direction before pulling me into a ginormous hug (as if mans didn't just see my like a whole week ago).
As I was about to shut the door behind him, a hyped up Ro, followed by a calm yet rowdy Zach ran onto the bus asking me a million and one questions about the screenshot they has just received.
Nick stood off to the side looking as lost and confused as ever. He then spoke up once I answered all of Ro and Zach's answers. "How do you guys feel about vineyards, wine, and sunflower patches?"
All three of us looked at him with questioning expressions, before he finally told us he wanted to take the whole tour crew out for a day of fun ... since it's so nice out.
