I got home after going out for some coffee and lied down on the couch. I've been in and out this week moving into my new apartment and now that I'm done I can get some rest. It was nice going out and getting to know the city, I wanted a fresh start and moved to a whole new city that was unknown to me so I wouldn't worry about the past or regrettable memories and start from scratch.
Minutes later of me staring at the ceiling my eyes started feeling heavy and I closed them shut, going into a deep slumber.
;
I opened my eyes at the sound of the doorbell ringing and wiped the drool off the corner of my mouth. That was a deep sleep. As I opened the door I could smell a strong cologne coming from the person standing in front of me. I looked up and my legs went weak at the cute guy standing there.
My eyes were glued onto him and he stood there with a smile plastered on his face until I coughed and he came back to reality.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I was wondering if you had any sugar you can lend me? I'm making coffee but don't feel like making a long trip to the store..." He said, nervously rubbing the back of his neck.
My lips parted and I took a few seconds to recap what he'd just say as I had no idea who he was or where he came from.
"Ah.. I'm really awkward with this. Sorry again. Song Mingi, we're neighbors. Nice to meet you" He smiled and I couldn't help but return one.
"Oh haha, that's okay. I was really startled at first like a stranger appeared to ask for sugar out of nowhere. I'm Y/N, nice to meet you too. You can come in, I'll serve you a container" I said and welcomed him in. He thanked me in advance and followed after me.
"That's okay! A cup will do"
"No, I don't mind. I actually went grocery shopping last night and bought a couple bags of sugar. They were on sale" I said giggling. He chuckled and held the container still. "Haha, is that so? Then, good thing I knocked on the right door" We laughed and I poured the sugar into the container, he closed it right after and looked around.
"Its a tad messy. I just finished unpacking this morning" I said. He shook his head and faced me. "Actually, I was admiring your place. It looks more spacious and pretty with the decorations. Mine is just bold and plane looking"
"Really? If so, I'm in need of a job. Hire me and I'll give your place a live makeover" I suggested feeling confident enough to do the job.
"Hmm, I'll need to know the cost before I get myself into trouble" He joked. "Don't worry. I can take monthly payments" I said earning a giggle from him that made me want to risk it all immediately.
