It was a peaceful night in the Xiao Long house. Yang and Blake were holding each other under the black and yellow bedsheets. But the calmness was soon disrupted by the wails of a baby.

Both Yang and Blake yawn, rubbing their eyes. "It's your turn babe," Blake says pecking Yang's lips. Yang begrudgingly got up and walked through to the room opposite theirs. Inside the walls were a soft blue, there were some cuddly toys strewn along the floor. But Yang's main focus was on the crib. She walks over and instantly knows what's wrong

"Did someone have a poo again?" She asks playfully. She slowly picks up her young son. "Let's get you changed Yuuto."

After Yang had changed him and put him back to bed she returned to her own bed. She checked the time, it was midnight. She sighs and wraps her arms around Blake again.

Yang sometimes had trouble sleeping at night. After her sister had went missing around eight years ago she was distraught. The small red head was nowhere to be found after they had defeated Salem, but she was not dead, she was somewhere out there. Or at least that's what everyone hopes.

Blake and Yang were awoke once again, this time by their alarm. Blake sits up and stretches – her ears twitching slightly. She sees her wife just laying down, refusing to get up. She smiles softly and turns the alarm off. "Come on Yang, time to get up," she says softly.

"I don't wanna..." Yang responds groggily. Blake sighs and looks to her girlfriend

"I will cook if you don't get up," she warns. As if her house was burning down Yang shot up. Blake sighed, "am I that bad at cooking to you?" Blake asks slightly offended.

"Yes, yes you are. You could probably burn cereal," Yang responds , Blake puts her hands on her hips, glaring at Yang silently, Yang sticks her tongue out at Blake, "anyway, you go and get Yuuto while I cook," Yang says, giving Blake a peck on the lips. Yang heads through to the kitchen and starts getting everything she needs to cook.

Blake slowly opens the bedroom door and sees her son sitting up playing with his little cat plushie, she walks over and when Yuuto looks up he grins and drops the cat, lifting his arms up towards Blake and giggling, "hey baby boy," Blake says softly, she picks him up and he starts to blabber incoherently, Blake walks over and lays him on his back on the floor and tickles his belly, Yuuto starts laughing uncontrollably. Blake stops and grabs Yuuto some clothes and a new diaper. After changing Yuuto she bins the diaper and puts the first clothing away. She picks Yuuto up and carries him through to the kitchen.

Upon arrival she saw Yang swaying to her own humming while cooking. Yuuto babbled at Blake and pointed to Yang. Blake smiles and walks over to Yang. She kisses her cheek gently and Yang smiles. Yuuto grabs onto Yang's shirt and Yang chuckles. "Good morning Yuuto." She says as she boops his nose. He giggled and let go of her shirt and lifted his finger up to boop Yang.

Blake took Yuuto to his high chair and sat him in it. She sat in the seat on his left and waited for Yang to be done cooking. After a few minutes Yang walks over and places some scrambled eggs and toast at both her and Blake's seats. She then walks back through the kitchen and grabs Yuuto's food. It consisted of whole milk yogurt, oats, banana and peach. Blake had already started eating so that it'd would be easier to feed Yuuto and faster. Once she was mostly done she began to feed him. Yuuto was a clean eater as Weiss had been teaching him since he was four months to not get it everywhere when people were feeding him – but when he was eating alone that's when problems started. Yuuto even though being born to two of the worlds best huntresses had the worst hand eye coordination, most of the time the spoon would be nowhere near his face.

Yuuto finished eating and Blake had went back to her food. Yang had seemed silent though, which was strange. "Yang?" She asked, "Are you alright?"

"Yeah... I guess..." Yang responded solemnly, poking at her unfinished food.

"What's wrong?" Blake asks, reaching her hand across the table to hold her wife's

"It's just... do you ever wonder if we'll find her?" Yang's voice held so much pain. He eyes glanced to the side and Blake followed her gaze – Yang was looking at the picture of Ruby.

"We will find her Yang," I assure her, Yang turns to face Blake, her eyes holding anger but also pain

"But what if we don't Blake? What if she's dead?" This was the first time Yang had shown doubt about her sister and it hurt Blake to see this.

"Yang, we have to at least hope that she isn't otherwise everything will be pointless. She could be out there so we can't just give up." Blake says – trying to pull Yang out of this.

"But what if she isn't Blake! What if we are just doing this for fucking nothing! What if everything is already pointless and we are clinging to this feeble idea that Ruby is still here when it's just going to be the opposite!" Yang had raised her voice and it scared Blake. She hadn't heard Yang so angry in years. Of course Yang has every right to be mad - this was her little sister after all.
