Darvey - dream

chapter 8 - damage control

Rachel says „I'm going after her to see if everything is alright." with that said she walks out of the door and turns into the direction where Donna left. While she's tryinh to find Donna Mike is explaining to Harvey why it hit Donna so hard.
„Harvey she saw the way you were acting around Dana for years and she saw they way you showed her how much she means to you. And to be honest you act very different around Donna and maybe she's hurt because she knows how you show your love and you don't show it to her at all." Harvey sighs „But I really try to I'm just scared that I'm going to mess it up because Donna is more important to me than anybody else and I just don't know how to show it to her without looking like a fool." „Well when it comes to women men sometimes have to look like a fool just to make them happy and show them you love them and it's not just a short relationship but something longer. I had to learn this the hard way with Rachel but you have me and I'm telling you that I hope for your sake that Donna forgives you when you tell her what you just told me, because believe me when she doesn't it needs a hell of work that she will come back to you." „Thanks man I just hope Rachel does as much damage controll as she can." „She is going to try her best." he secretly hopes he's right.

Meanwhile Donna is still walking out of the hospital while Rachel tries to follow her but she's walking very fast. "Donna! Please stop it's only me!" She stops and waits for Rachel. "Let's go outside so we can talk alright?" Donna justs nods because she doesn't trust her voice right now. She knows if she'll talk now Rachel will hear her voice which is filled with tears and she doesn't want to cry in the middle of this hallway. Rachel and Donna walk out and find a nice bench in the shadows. "So tell me Donna what happened?" She sighs and clears her throat. "Well Dana came by to look how Harvey is doing which is okay for me, but the way he acted around her was like before when they were together and it just felt like a knife cutting in my heart. Like I know Harvey isn't too good with expressing his feelings but it just felt so different than the way he is acting around me." Rachel takes all that in and thinks a bit before answering "Well maybe it is because he already has lost Dana a few times before they parted for good and he knows he'll be alright without her so he isn't scared to mess things up. But with you it's different it always was. Maybe he thinks if he shows too much and messes things up that you can really hurt him and he's scared of getting hurt as you know." Donna looks at her with watery eyes and says "I haven't looked at it like that it hurt too much and I couldn't think straight." Rachel puts her arm around Donna to let her cry into her shoulder. "I know Donna I've been there too with Mike. You just need to talk to Harvey and tell him it has hurt you and he needs to tell you what he is feeling. It might take a while to get 100 percent happy with the way you're both taking in feelings but you'll get there eventually." Donna hugs Rachel back. "Thanks Rachel I really appreciate it." "That's what friends are for." They both get up and walk back to Harveys room.

I know it's a short chapter but as the title says it's just about the damage control. The next chapter will be about Donna and Harvey talking.
