Zachs POV
English was pretty boring. But Shelbi made it so much fun. We kept laughing and making funny faces at each other. Minus the fact we probably got written up but it's so worth it to see her smile. We have twenty minutes in this class. We are supposed to work on our packets of bullshit that we don't need in the real world. I really want to date her out somewhere but just as friends. The bell rings and we go to our lockers. "Hey so. I was thinking. Maybe Friday night I could take you somewhere. You know go get pizza or something." I smile hoping she says yes. She closes her locker and looks at me.
"Yes I will go out with you." She smiles and shuts her locker. We walk to science and I couldn't help but smile the whole class period. The thing is I'm scared about some things might go wrong. I think I'm gonna try to get Erin to sit with me at lunch with Shelbi and her friends. I know Erin is not really a people person but I do know he really likes that Kobi girl.
' Time Skip '
The day went by pretty fast. "Hey I'm gonna text my mom and see if I can come over to study, okay?" Shelbi says following me out the school doors. When the bell rings to go home a lot of kids basically run to their cars or the buses. Erin was talking to Kobi and they kept smiling and laughing. "Okay I can." I nod.
We were alone in my room. "So. Do you like anyone?" Shelbi randomly asks. I look at her and she looked kind of nervous to ask that question. "Well. I like this one person but we just met and I want to get to know her a lot more before we do anything." She smiles.
Shelbis POV
I asked that question instantly regretting it. But his answer started making me think. I look at him and he smiled. Did he mean me? I mean yeah we just met and stuff but he talks to girls all the time. "Who is it?"
"You Shelbi." My heart starts beating fast. Is he joking? He gets up and grabs my hand. He pulls me close to him and hugs me.
It had been a while since I've ever had the feeling of someone loving and appreciating me. It felt so surreal. I suddenly gain a spark of happiness, and I just knew he was going to be in my future. I hug him back. But the thing is do I like him? He's an amazing guy.
"I like you too." We both smile and we stand there for a while. My phone rings and I grab it still hugging Zach. "It's Kobi hang on." I let go of him. I sit down on the couch. She tells me that Erin has a friend named Hailey. She has a huge crush on Erin and has been since the third grade. "Okay calm down. He doesn't like her. You are so much better than her. I promise."
