The rain was cold and so was the gun that was placed on a young boys temple. He could smell the coppery smell of blood nearby.

"W-what do you want? P-please let me see daddy. P-please"

A hand tightened around the trigger making the boy flinch a bit backwards. The noise of the bullet barely missing him was enough for him to start running.

"Get back here!"

The guy with the gun took of after the boy with an incredible speed. The six year old was struggling to keep going as his vision started to dance with black spots.

"Stop running boy, you'll pass out"

The boy only began running faster away from the guy behind him. He was doing good until he tripped on a stick on the sidewalk. The six year old tried to stand but the pain made him fall back down. He saw the man come closer and closer until complete darkness overtook his vision.

Peter's POV

I woke up to the sound of someone banging on the metal door. It may have been nothing more than a light bang but my senses were going haywire right now. The headache was making me want to throw up but showing weakness will result in a punishment, and that's something I do not want.

"Get up A75. It's death day"

That's my name, well that's the only name I know at least. I think I had a real name a long time ago but that must have been before HYDRA. Before my own family betrayed me.

"Of course sir"

I got dressed in my heavy training clothes which consisted of military black pants filled with pockets and hidden spaces. The T-shirt was also black with a red octopus logo on the left side of the shirt making it very visible to people as to who I work for.

Death day was not something I enjoyed, it meant that I had to prove what I have learned. They will push me past my limits which would result in an awful day tomorrow.

I walked out the door only to be met with another one of the soldiers leading me to the training room. It was dark with a little lamp flickering barely giving any light, there was a one sided window on one side of the room barely visible.

"Show me A75 what you have learned. You will face consequences if you do not obey understood?"

The mans voice was creepily calm and low almost as if he didn't want this to happen but I knew better. I knew better than to trust.

"Yes sir"

"Start the machine!"

A bullet flew past me making me hold my ears in pain. The headaches increased but I couldn't disobey. Another bullet flew straight at my leg, I dodged it easily with my spider senses helping me. A few more bullet came until the machine was turned on max. Bullets flew from every side of the room making me dizzy by how fucked up my senses became.

A good fifty minutes later and I was done. The sweat was trailing down in tiny rivers down my neck and forehead. The machine made a loud noise that scared me but I didn't flinch. I couldn't flinch or else I would be getting a punishment.

"Good job A75. You'll make a good soldier on day"

His smile was sickening. It was like one of those smiles you see before you die. He patted my back and I stood still with my head high. I had my hands behind my back and my legs stood a few inches apart. I could feel my face wanting to have a scared expression but I couldn't let my guard down. Not now and not ever.

"Move him to the next room!"

The shouting made my head spin again. I hated it when my sense got overly heightened. It made everything louder, brighter and every little smell made me want to throw up. I hated days like this.

The next thing I know, I'm in a room filled with one of those things you run on. I have never been outside, not even my missions were outside so that's why I don't know the name of the some things. It makes me angry that I don't know the name of things I use almost every single day.

"Full speed. Disobey and I'll show you pain A75"

I nod firmly not letting him see the scared look in my eyes. I'm placed on one of the running machines chained to the machine so I don't stop running. I don't feel the chains until the spikes touch my skin making blood deep through, it's something I've gotten used to, the pain I mean.

"Ready? Alright, start it up"

The running becomes exhausting after a few hours making my feet hurt. I can hear the writing of the pen on the other side of the room, but I keep running a few hours more until the machine stops. I breathe out for a little before one of the soldiers grab my wrist sharply leading me into the testing room. The worst part of death day.

"We will be testing your pain level A75. When you scream the machine will stop and I'll know when you scream out of real pain so don't try and trick me"

"Of course not sir"

I wanted to scream, beg for it all to stop. I couldn't disobey. I don't want the Winter Soldier in my cell, I want everything else.

I was strapped to a metal table making me almost want to wince. The cuffs were firmly placed on my thin wrists making a clicking sound as they closed. They were tight with a few spikes digging into my skin.

The next thing I feel is pain, not an uncomfortable pain but just pain. I could feel the blood trickle out of my now sliced skin down into the table.

"Good. Give him the serum"

A soldier quickly ran into another small room built in the testing room. He came back out holding a small syringe filled with some sort of red liquid.

"This will hurt a lot, even the Winter Soldier broke down after the injection. Not that's it any of your business of course"

Sir was walking quietly around the table making me scared. If the serum broke down the Winter Soldier I sure as hell won't last long.

"This serum is made out of poison from a snake and a bit of polonium. You should be fine with your enhanced healing, but if you die we'll simply replace you. Got that A75?"

"Yes sir"

I knew what polonium was, I don't know why or how but I knew. It's one of the deadliest poisons out there. I was scared of the feeling I was going to get when the liquid began flowing through my veins. I don't want to die like this.

A sharp pain came from my neck making me scream. Sir hit me for screaming so I shut up. It's the only thing I know how to do after all.

"Phase 1 begins now"

I began trashing around trying to break free from the table of evil pinning me down. My throat got dry and it hurt to keep the screams inside.

"Phase 2 and 3 are in motion. Report back to Boss"

I felt the blood in my veins stop completely before going again super fast. It was hard to breathe and my eyes were watery, I couldn't keep it in so I screamed.

"Sound made at phase 6. Last phase"

Suddenly the pain stopped and I felt dark spots dance around my vision. I felt my cuffs get unlocked and I could make out a few words like:

"-inter solider. It's be-"
"-I know what's best for him-"
"-urvive the Soldier. Plan in motion no-"

Then it all went black
