Loving Again

Chapter 6- First Word

It was about a two hour drive and of course Riley has been sleeping since they left her house.
Maya looked behind her and smiled.
Josh saw that and smiled himself.
If he knew she was going to be here he would definitely have tried to be nicer.

"So how did you get permission to go? Josh asked.
" You can kidnap me and my mother won't realize," Maya said.
" Sound very busy. I actually mean with the principal," Josh said.
" Oh easy. Someone set the school on fire. This was his idea," Maya said.
" On fire? Wow. I don't want to know more. What does Cory say?" Josh asked.
" He is happy and mad. Happy because we can continue with school and mad because Riley is with Lucas," Maya said.
" What do you mean?" Josh asked and Maya looked at him.
"Riley and Lucas are dating."

There were no further chatting.
The drove came to a end also Riley's nap.

"We here?" Riley asked and Maya laughed.
"Yeah we are," Maya said and opened the door.

She step out and looked at the lodge.
She recognized it from photos.

"Maya?" Riley said.
"My parents got married here," Maya said.

Riley looked at Josh and then back to Maya.
That was the first time when Maya said anything about her parents.
Even Josh knew that.
Josh grabbed Riley's arm and dragged her away from Maya.

"What's going on?" Josh asked.
"Maya has never said anything about her parents. Nothing in ten years. Something is up," Riley said.
"First time in ten years that she has said a word about her mother and father? You sure?" Josh asked and Riley nodded her head.

Of course it was weird but it shouldn't be impossible to find out why.
Maybe if this was a strange girl but Maya isn't.
