It was around 11 in the morning and I've been awake for an hour, my job as a freelance writer has led me to be at home more often than I usually would be, I didn't mind it but every once in a while I would get bored. I already had my recent assignment turned in two days early so I had all the time in the world to learn more about San Diego, my assignment was about the recent up coming of Donald Trump still trying to build a wall, I'm not really into politics so I turned it into an unbiased update type of thing.I couldn't stop thinking about my encounter with my new neighbor last night, what was he doing so late that would involve screaming so loud. He was really cute, but extremely annoying. I don't even know him name and I already hate the guy, what's his problem anyways? Is he retarded? I can't believe that I'm still thinking about how messy his hair was, I wanna cut it so it looks more even...
I heard a knock on your door and that immediately knocked me out of my thoughts. "Coming!!" I yelled as I ran to the door, only to be greeted by Micheal.
"So this is where you live now? You'd really think that you'd be able to get away from me did you? You're fucking wrong. You'll never get away, ever, you know why? Because you're still a worthless piece of shit." He gave me a hard slap across my cheek and I yelped.
The front door next to mine began to open widely and that weird tall guy came out of the room and stood in front of me, holding me behind him with his long arms. He looked up at Micheal and smiled, I could tell because of the reflection on Micheal's sunglasses. The man took a big step back as he put me closer to my door but still managed to keep me in his grasp.
"So, why'd you hit her?" I heard him laugh while asking.
"Who the fuck are you?" Micheal sounded drunk.
"Her boyfriend. And you? Why'd you lay your disgusting fucking hands on her? What'd she do to you?" His grasp on me became tighter but comforting.
"Because she's a slut. Since when did you start dating?" I heard the sarcastic tone in Micheal's voice. He knew that we couldn't have gotten together recently since Micheal and I broke up two weeks ago.
"We started dating last week." He sounded so sure of himself, I couldn't help but put my head on his back and my hands around his waist.
"Please leave Micheal, we're done, we've been done. Please don't try to make my life any harder than you already did." I almost broke out in tears. I am terrified of Micheal and I always will be. He was, and will continue to be, the man that took advantage of my life.
"Whatever. Fucking get a real life and a real man that doesn't have to push his glasses up every second y/n." Micheal turned around and left.
"So y/n is your name? I'm Ian." He laughed slightly.
"You didn't have to do that you know. I can handle him on my own." I tried to sound serious but it came out as a whimper.
"Okay, my bad for butting in, I just didn't want to see you get hurt. You can let go of me now though haha." His laugh is joy to my ears, I love that sound. I didn't know that I could fall in love with a laugh before, normally I would just dismiss their laugh as their personality and carry on with my day. But I guess not this time, oh no, I was most definitely going to try to get to know this Ian guy more often. He made me feel safe.
-Time Skip-
3 hours later
I laid back on my couch. Trying to process how I was able to get his phone number. He said to call him as soon as I felt like I wouldn't be light headed about the situation anymore, or whatever that's supposed to mean.
Maybe I'll just text him. I thought.
I decieded to text him instead of calling him. And I did just that, I sent him a quick "Hey this is y/n, text me when you get this I guess lol" God maybe I'm and idiot for sending that but it's too late now. Way to late now.
My phone pinged two minutes later, "Hey, I'm surprised that you'd even text me, at least now I can safe your number in my phone haha, what're you doing for the rest of the night? I'm gonna be recording a small skit so I wanted to see if you're gonna be home anytime soon in the next hour so I can record then instead of 2 this morning."
I was thinking about asking my friend Natalie if she wanted to go out for food soon, so maybe he can do his recording when I'm not home.
I began to text Ian back but I called Natalie first, asking her if it was okay, she gradually agreed and I continued to finish my text to Ian, "Sounds like a plan, as long as I get to sleep tonight then we won't have a problem."
