It's been 8 years since that day. That horrible day that I couldn't ever forget. How I wish I could forget. I remember every little detail from when my parents were killed in front of me. I couldn't bare it. I was only 8 yrs old. Im 16 now. I've been living with a friend since then. "Scarlet!" I heard my friend Penny call me from downstairs. It was 7:45am and we had to hurry up for school. It was only like 5 minutes away. "Come on! We're going to be late for school and you know how my schedule is today. All tests so I can't  be late out of all days!" Penny said as she watches me come down the stairs. I sigh "I know Pen. Just let me find my keys". "Ugh!" Penny exclaimed stomping her foot heavy on the red carpet. "Got em!" I grabbed my keys and we both left the house. Penny always had to be on time. There was times I would be late and maybe even skip school, but I couldn't let Penny down. We get to school right on time. "Well I'll see you at lunch?" Penny looked at me with a cocked eyebrow as we head to our lockers. "Yeah. See you then!" I got to my locker and took what I needed and then headed to class.

I walked into the classroom and took my seat in the back like usual. I am wearing what most people would not wear. I was more into the gothic scene. So I had on a black mini pleaded skirt with a silver studded belt, black fishnet stockings, black combat boots, and a deep purple corset on. I know I get stared and laughed at for it. But who cares?! I certainly don't. My Best friend Penny was like me with a Bettie Paige look to her. I was always jealous of her. She always had everything. She still has her parents too. Unlike me. I sighed to myself while trying to concentrate on the lesson. I've had so many thoughts and memories come into my head. I mean it's my parents anniversary of their death. Eight years. O my Gosh.
