I looked out the window. Camp Campbell, huh? Kinda seemed more like a dump. I sighed, but my eyes were glued onto the window. The bus stopped as the driver said, "Your stop."
I stood up and grabbed my bag, walking off the bus. A tall red-head man, that seemed like he was in his early twenties, waved at me. "Hello new camper! Welcome to Camp Campbell, Ellie, was it?" He asked, tapping his chin. I nodded, putting my hands in my pockets. My hood was up, but it wasn't covering my face. I blew a strand of hair from my face as he continued. "That's amazing! My name is David! Let me show you around the campsite!" He said as I looked up at the sign. The "bell" in Campbell was gone.
«That's odd... How'd that happen?»
I thought, but quickly ran to David, as he was leading me to a cabin that had a "Mess Hall" sign. There was average talking from inside. I could tell that all of them were my age, but two that sounded say older. I walk in and the room goes quiet, me putting my hood down. I waved as people waved back.I sat in a table alone that was near a table that had three people sitting at it. One was a tall skinny kid with light brown hair that kinda seemed to defy gravity. Another one was a girl with pastel green hair put into ponytails, though, she was probably the same height as me. The last kid was a bit with almost jet black poofy hair, which kinda seemed to be my height and the girl's.
I walked up to them and the girl looked at me, "Hey, you're the new camper!" She said, waving. I stuck my hand out for a possible shake, but, instead, she bit my hand. I looked at it as it was bleeding a bit and had saliva on it. I shook it off, but the tall kid seemed worried. "Sorry, it's a habit. Anyway, my name's Nikki. The tall kid is Neil, and the other one is Max." Neil shyly waved as Max shrugged.
David came up behind me and I looked over my shoulder at him, my 14 year old body way shorter than David's. I made a low, kinda silent, growl, a sharp tooth I filed when 12, showed. He was fascinated by my tooth, he asked, "How did your tooth become so sharp?" I was startled by it, since I did it due to my father leaving. It was a way to calm me down. I adjusted my glasses and lied, "It grew like that." I then mumbled, the three behind me able to hear, "Nosey ass..." Once he left and I turned around and sat down, then Max says, "I think we're going to get along well. What's your name?" "I'm Ellie." I replied, kinda grinning.

Alright, don't get me wrong. I shouldn't be liking a someone RIGHT when we meet. Right? But, my gut's telling me something different. Later that day, David decides to do a bonfire. As usual. I had to sit next to Ellie, since every other seat was taken. In the corner of my eye, I swore I could've seen her blush. My cheeks started to feel warmer as I looked over at her. "What's up with you?" I said, my hands in my pockets. She tilted her head and answered, with an attitude, "Uh, nothing, you?" She puts her hands in her yellow hoodie's pockets. I eyes widened a bit as I looked the other way, turning my body along with my head. I know that she's going to kill me one day.
Not literally, you dumbass.
