The Illusionary Love

Prologue

Long ago there was a glorious king, who lived in a magnificent city called Gotham, where everyone who was under his reign loved him. The king was happy and marveled at the life he had, but there was one thing the king was missing desperately; He wished to someday to marry a lovely maiden. One that he would love dearly and someday bear him children. Despite his dreams, the king did not envisage meeting such a women but he happened to have a loving brother who saw his pain and made his dream come true. In time, he was blessed with a beautiful wife for whom he wished only peace and a merry life. But still, like every king, the king had enemies that coveted his wealth. There, in the city arose an army of wicked monsters who wanted to take the kingdom for themselves. These malicious monsters drove all the king's allies and surrounding magical creatures from the lands. With the arrival of this great evil, the king had no choice but to send his beloved wife away. But those men he had sent to protect her along the way, betrayed him and took her that very day. The king because of the weight of so much loss, gave up his reign and went into an exiled life. The king's brother, angered at Gotham's betrayal, cursed the city, making it none that the sun should shine and granting that the moon had both possession of night and day. Not only were the forces of nature cursed, but anyone who called that place home. That was only the beginning to make the city surfer for its cruelty and injustice to its king. Even to this day these two siblings haven't forgotten the love and happiness that the king once had, and little did anyone know that one day they would return to avenge his wife's death.
