"Today's the day" I stumble out of bed getting ready for my first day at Gifted Academy where I'll also be staying for the next 4 years in the dorms.

Gifted Academy is the most famous school in this world today reason behind it well… It's a school full of superhumans. It's not an ordinary high school either it's all based on your skills with your abilities the courses consist of getting to know your power and using it.

" Hey honey, you ready for today?" my mom says while walking her way towards me handing me some extra socks for me to take.

" I guess kind of nervous." While putting the socks in my luggage.

" It's going to be alright you got this, your dad will be so proud of you." She brings me in a hug and I could only imagine my dad here hugging me also. My dad died when I was four, he died while saving people from a Cobra a mutant just one out of many non friendly superhumans out there.

My parents are both human they have no abilities, so where did mine come from?

They came from my grandma. My grandma is an Air Bender I guess it skipped a generation, but my mom says she doesn't mind she highly believes that if she did have powers she be so clumsy with them also dad's parents would have never let them be together.

As I load my bags in the car I take a glimpse at my plant a bright yellow sunflower me and my dad grew before he died. I walk up to it and make its petals shine bright and grow its life a little longer.

"Imagine if you did not have plant whatever you call it powers the plant wither."

" take good care of it mom I gave it extra life until I visit."

" Sure thing, lets go."

As we drive up the mountains heading close to Gifted Academy I see from afar a big castle like building. It looks beautiful, majestic very and big.

" Hello Ms. may I ask for your name." The security guard stops us at least 5 minutes away from the school.

" Yes hello, I'm here to drop off my daughter Sia Park to Gifted Academy."

" Okay I see her here, but Sia here will take a taxi from here."

" Wait why I can't take her myself?"

" No Ms. humans are not allowed into the campus."

My mom looks at me with tears in her eyes you could tell she wish she had abilities for this exact moment just to drop me off.

" It's alright mom." I say while giving her hug soothing her head like my dad use to do when we were upset.

" You be good alright I paid good money don't screw up or get pregnant or become a villain."

" haha I won't mom I'll study hard and become a great Plant manipulator… maybe even save the world." I laugh at the last part making her laugh as well.

" Bye Sia."

" Bye Mom."
