"I'm relived you stayed at Tracy's but please! Don't do it again! I got so worried when you weren't sleeping in your bed! God! You could have ended up with a stranger, Arden!" Mom rambled on. I sighed and shook my head.
I did and more...
"Sorry, mom. I should have called but don't worry. I'll come home tomorrow."
"Tomorrow? You're coming home today! The fun is over and it's time to plan the wedding."
"Hold your horses! I'm not even engaged yet and you're already planning the wedding?! No! Engagement party first and then wedding planning. I won't start now!" I yelled and clenched my phone. Mom sighed on the other end.
"Arden, this isn't negotiable."
"Nothing ever is with you since dad- See you tomorrow", I said and hung up. I leaned back against the sofa and sighed while shaking my head.
Mr. Mysterious walked in while buttoning his shirt after our two hour bath.
"What's wrong?" He asked while looking at me concerned.
"Nothing... Let's go out." I got up and walked towards the door when he took my arm and pushed me against the wall.
"What's wrong?" He asked again. This time more impatient. I glared at him.
"Buddy, I'm getting tired of your huffing and buffing of me. You said we're strangers and that means I don't have to tell you a shit!"
"And I agreed that if you win the race I'll tell my name." He glared a death glare. "If I win you tell me what's wrong and what bothers you."
"Fine! Whatever!" I pushed him off and walked out to the car. The door slammed behind me and I assumed that he was as pissed as me. But I had a good reason while he didn't. I waited next to his black car. I recognise the brand - A real nice, expensive one too. It was a black, shiny sport model. With really low to seat in but it could drive extremely fast.
My heart started to beat faster at the thought of me driving a race car. I barely drove over the speed limit on the high way... even less on small roads. To drive like a maniac on a race track scared me to death but it was the only way to find out Mr. Mysterious name. Or to get any name at all.
I sighed deeply as he opened the door for me, glaring at me to show his disapproval of the situation. I rolled my eyes at him and got into the car.
"You loved this side when we had sex!" I spit. He lowered his head to my level and once again our lips were closed.
"Oh, I did. Because you were silent or screamed my name in a more pleasant way than now!" He closed the door harshly and went to his seat. He drove off and I held my seat. He was giving me a preview of the speed limits he would defy. I dug my nails into his leather seat and my eyes were big as a rain-deer's in headlights.
"YOU'RE GOING TO GET US KILLED!" I yelled out, terrified of the images my mind created. Mr. Mysterious laughed hysterically and speeded even more.
"What? Scared, Sugar Blush?" He smirked while focusing on the road. "How will you ever win and find out my name if you're scared of some speed?"
"I-I'm not scared! I'm worried that a child might jump out and I don't know! Die?!"
"We're in the woods of nowhere now! The only child you'll see out here is in your imagination! Believe me, Sugar Blush. I won't hit anything", he said in a confident tone and hit the breaks when we got close to an old barrack. I jumped, screaming like a girl when the car stop just inches from the building. He smirked at me while crossing his arms.
