Cupid. a word from greek mythology. Cupids do in fact exist still but not in the way one would probably think. Hi, i'm a cupid, i'm in fact one of many cupids. We've existed for a long time and have just been slowly evolving just like humans have been. Now, rather than flying around naked and shooting people we all live and work in a company. Our job isn't to find matches, but it's to create matches. Our system will simply pick to random humans and put them together and our job is to basically make them love each other. We use you know, magic, in different forms. The reason we even do this in the first place is to create more love in the world. Because that has always been our purpose from the beginning right? 

C148'S PERSPECTIVE

"C148, Mr.C1 is calling you to his office.", spoke one of the receptionists. 

I approached the mayors door in confusion. I knocked on the door.

"Enter", spoke the mayor.

As I entered the large office I saw C289 also in the office. 

"You two must be wondering why I have called you here. Well, I simply just wanted to give you two a case to work on together. But it's a bit of a special case and I'm trusting you two to complete the task."

I was slightly relieved to know that I wasn't in trouble for messing up somehow. I was also curious to know what could be so special about this case. This job has been the same my whole life.

Team up with my partner (who is the other humans cupid) and simply use a little bit of magic to alter their brains which makes them fall in love with each other instantly. Another question is how does the randomizer choose which humans. And no, the system doesn't choose by compatibility, personality, but convenience. That's all, just convenience. Just to make sure that both humans are in the same area, and will see one another somehow. So the whole thing is a bit messed up, but I mean a job is a job right?

Anyway, C289 gets handed her folder and I get handed mine. We are looking over the normal looking folders together.

PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Straight As, swimmer, cellist, goal in life is to be nice to others and never hurt anyone intentionally, lives the moral empathy. Loves almost every genre of music including foreign and classical music but cannot stand rap. She is friendly but can also be very shy. She has self confidence but still can be self-conscious at times. She loves food, her favorite colors are pink and yellow. She also has a strong interest in fashion. She is not popular but not an outcast, she has her own small group of friends and one best friend. Violet is also very mature. She knows how to joke around but can be very mature. Her parents are divorced and at her mothers house she is in charge of cleaning and has a job to support herself so she doesn't have to be a burden to her low income mother. She also tries to financially help her mother in any way she can.

PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Basket ball player, C sudent, he is part of the popular group which causes Lucas to hide somewhat embarrassing things about him from everyone and sometimes even himself. What he tells others is that his goal in life is to be a professional basket ball player and to be rich. Deep down his real goal is to make a difference in the world for the better and to truly love someone. He is reserved in class and does not disrupt but is more comfortable around his friends. He does not smoke and drink but is around a friend group that does. He had tried vaping and smoking weed before but decided it wasn't a smart choice and wasn't really for him. He told his friends that it doesn't work on him and he finds it useless but doesn't care if they do it, but another deep rooted reason is because of his mother. He has a good relationship with his mom and had promised her that he wouldn't make stupid choices and he would feel heavy guilt if he did something like smoking week behind her back. On top of that he was passionate about basketball and wanted to pursue that healthily. Lucas has been through several girlfriends and none of them were really serious they were just there to be there. He often tells his friends that he doesn't really care for relationships and how they're a waste of time. Most of his friends mess around with girls and just use them for sex. All of his friends think that that's what he's done with all of the previous girls, yet in reality he's only had sex 2 or 3 times and those times it was fully consensual. But he honestly felt bad every time her hurt a girl or another person at that. Something else about his mother is that she has an extremely weak immune system which causes her to be sick very often. He keeps this fact a secret but secretly has a job and has a strong sense of maturity to take care of his often sick mother. Overall the main facts about Lucas is that he is in fact a good person but he tends to hide that fact to fit in with his friends and the crowd. 

After C289 and I finished reading our folders we were still confused as to why this was such a special case. Despite the confusion to started reading our shared document which states the status of the match itself.

I paused and C289 and I looked at each other in bewilderment. Every match that has every happened in this incorporation was has been created by convenience or it was randomized. It has been  centuries  since a match has been made by fate. We hurriedly looked back at the paper to read the final match statement. 

On the last line of the document it stated:
