Ezekiel POV

I stared at the door in shock, she not only yelled at me but also slammed my door. Leaning back in my chair I couldn't get the image of her copper hair and unusual violets eyes. The image of her face turning red as she yelled at me, the sound of her accent as it twisted around every word I was stumped what the hell was happening to me. Since I hired her it seems she has always been in my thoughts she was a mystery, unlike any other women I have ever met. Something in my gut was telling me I needed to make this right.

It was raining and I was standing at her door and knocked, too late to turn back.

"Who is it?"

her voice cracked, clearing my throat.

"Your boss"

Hearing her sigh her voice sounding exhausted.

"Go away"

"I'm not leaving until you let me talk."

I hear her grunt and my lips twitched and finally, the door opened.

Sea green met violet and my stomach knotted and my mouth went dry, her hair was sticking up in odd ways, I scanned her head to toe. I've never her seen her this underdressed she was wearing shorts and a tank top definitely curvaceous; That's not what caught my attention, my attention was on the scars running across her legs and shoulders to the large pink one running the length of her neck and then to the knife in her hand, She coughed and my eyes jumped to hers. She was fidgeting and pulling on her shorts this was a new side.

"I want to talk can I come in"

I knew she was mad, her glare let me know that she was but she let me in. Instantly warmth hit me and the smell of food entered my senses, she lead me to the kitchen.

"Alright spill, what the hell are you doing here"

"Why such hostility, I'm...here to apologize"

She raised a brow and pursed her lips, such a distraction were her lips always that red?

"You apologize, a man who is deemed as the "Ice Prince" himself"

Her eyes were set ablaze and I felt sweat start to collect on my temples, she was scary when mad not that I would admit that to her.

"Y-yes" did I just stutter, clearing my throat "well I realized after you blatantly yelled at me I realized I fucked up, you are a great employee and I came to give your job back"

She cocked her hip and folded her arms my eyes following her action.

"What if I don't want to"

Swallowing hard he wasn't expecting that answer he wasn't used to this type of women and it unnerved him.

"Look I know what I said was uncalled for and it was highly inappropriate."

She looked at me and she rubbed her eyes in exasperation.

"Fine fine, I'll take back the job."

I couldn't help the quirk of my lips.

"Great" and then thunder and rain started to fall on the windows.

"Is it okay if I wait out the storm" she nodded and I let myself-follow her, her home was bare and sleek no photos no personal touches. Seating myself at her kitchen table.

"Did you just move in?" she shook her head.

"No, I've been here a couple of months, would you like some" I nodded as she handed me a bowl of what she was cooking.

" from Russia? I'm assuming from your accent" she nodded

" is it that hard to tell, but yes from Russia," I said as I took a bite of the soup.

" what made you decide to move to America." I watched as her body went rigid she looked up at me and glared.

" it is none of your business Suka" I raised my brow.

" you know you need to stop cursing at me"

she didn't say anything after that but I watched her she was..... beautiful I noticed it now as I stared I never really took time to look at her she had copper hair that fell in loose curls down her back and she had the most unusual violet eyes I wondered if she was wearing contacts. her face was angular high cheekbones and red lips and she was a natural beauty. I felt like a creep the way I kept eyeing her but I really couldn't help it.

She was now sitting down and eating I debated if I wanted to move closer or stay where I was.

Noticing the jagged scars on her shoulders this feeling in stirred in me. All of a sudden her head snapped to mine and her eyes narrowed.

"What" she snarled.

"Hmm," I hummed.

"Why the hell are you staring at me like that"

"What happened?" she froze at my question her eyes darkened and went blank.

"I think it's time you left don't you have to be in the office, and by the way, it's none of your business" I sighed And nodded.
