The Court Room

"OBJECTION!!"

Phoenix, standing there with his finger pointed at Edgeworth, telling him,

"The Defendant is innocent since she was not there when the body was discovered. The Autopsy reads the body was dead around 5pm. SHE WAS OUTSIDE THUS NOT KILLING THE VICTIM!"

Edgeworth chuckles and shakes his head.

"Oh how Wrong you are Mr.Wright. That autopsy is clearly out of date. I gotten an updated version before entering here. I submit this as evidence"

Phoenix looks over the updated autopsy and reads as the victim was dead around 2:50 with 28 stab wounds. Phoenix's jaw dropped. Wondering where the hell he even gotten this updated one from. Most likely from Detective Gumshoe. But before Phoenix could get a word in Edgewise, the Judge declared the trial to be suspended until tomorrow. Phoenix sighs and walks back outside to the lobby.

"God damn.. where the hell did he even get a new one?"

Maya who is usually beside him, shrugs.

"Why don't you go ask him?"

"Maybe.."

Phoenix sighs in frustration and then he looks up and sees Edgeworth walking towards him. Phoenix fixes his suit a bit and was mentally preparing himself for whatever Edgeworth had to say to him. However, Edgeworth had a different expression on his face. More... Calmer. Phoenix raised his eyebrow in suspicion of this.

"Wright."

"Edgeworth."

Maya was kind of frightened at what the outcome would be.

"Wright you did... average for a new lawyer such as yourself."

Phoenix was shocked at his statement. This isn't the usual Edgeworth. However, this is the Edgeworth he somewhat knew back in grade school.

"....Thanks Edgeworth. But where did you even get the updated autopsy report from?"

"Wright, a lawyer always prepare himself before he enters the court. You should do the same. It can save you some time on you beating me in this case."

Wright chuckles at his statement.

"But yet who has been losing recently?"

"Wright, stop being so childish."

"Says the one..."

Phoenix starts to mumble under his breath.

"Speak up? Unless you have lost the ability to speak."

"Nah never mind."

Edgeworth fixes his jacket and nods his head.

"Well I must be off. See you tomorrow Wright."

"See you then Edgeworth."

Edgeworth walks away from him and Maya was kind of surprised that the confrontation didn't go up in a heated argument.

"What.. even..what?"

Phoenix sighs and shakes his head. He looks up and thinks to himself.

"Damn.. Mia what am I suppose to do without you here? I have so many questions, I need so much assistance yet you aren't here.."

His train of thought was broken when Maya pulled on his arm.

"Let's go find more evidence Phoenix! After all we have to beat Edgeworth!"

Phoenix chuckles and nods his head in agreement, then follows Maya out the door back to the crime scene at the house.
