"So what do you say Miss Harper?"

"Absolutely." I smile and nod. This is it. This is what I have been waiting for.

"That is fantastic! I know you will do great things for this company." The man said. He looked genuinely excited. I know why though. "You start on Monday. Be here at eight AM, and we will have your office ready. Our specialist will also show you the ropes around here, but I have a feeling you will catch on quickly."

We both stood up and shook hands. "Thank you very much. I will be here Monday." The man smiled at me as I turned and walked out of his office. I couldn't help the excitement that was bubbling inside me. I finally caught my big break. I took my time walking to the elevators by observing my surroundings.

Greene Tech Industries was definitely a step up from my previous job. I was a Tech Developer at another much smaller company. I was making my boss a lot of money. Word spreads when a small company is growing at a speedy rate, but my name was never mentioned. My department manager would always take credit for my ideas.

For me, I was never happy there. I was paid decent sure, and my benefits were okay. But I felt as if I needed a change, and I wanted to be recognized for all the hard work I put into my career. When Greene Tech offered me a position as their head developer, I had to contain myself.

Today marked the start of my new career. One that paid amazing, has great benefits, and will allow me to truly show what I can do.

When I stepped out of the building, I took a deep breath and headed towards my car. I smiled as I reached my blue 2017 Camaro. This was my dream car ever since I was little, and as soon as I was able to afford one, I bought this baby. I drove back to my apartment and decided to have a self care day. It has been a while since I took some time to myself.

My apartment was a decent size. It had a huge bedroom, a luxury bathroom, a decent sized kitchen, spacious living room, and a small dining space. It has everything I need, and it is something that I can not help to be proud of. For only being twenty six, I felt as if my life was falling into place. Things are looking up, and I couldn't be happier. I went into the bathroom and ran a hot bubble bath. I lit several candles, turned on the music, and poured myself a glass of wine.

Here's to me!
