Once upon a time there was a princess named Delilah. She was one of the most beautiful princesses anyone could ever comprehend. Her hair was long and silky. It touched the floor and the heart of those whose eyes laid upon it. Then there was her dress. It was simple but matched that of the forest. A forest which went so deep that it's color was a green was darkness. But the eyes were the biggest treasure of all. For their blue was more bright and lively than that of an ocean's tide. Delilah was a wonderful princess that lived with her mother, who was once a queen,  in a simple home.

One day the princess decided she wanted to go on a walk out in the forest. Her father, the king, had told her many tales of this forest. The tales were ones that excited Delilah, and she would always get joy when she heard a story. They described greatness in the forest. The tales involved mystical creatures that would talk and sing. They made everyone happy. The creatures could dance and fly and do all sorts of things that were imaginable as long as someone believed in them. The tales also told of gorgeous flowers. They were ones of many colors, but wouldn't always stay one color. For these flowers contained magic as well. The colors would be whatever you asked. Red, Blue, Green, or Gold. They were anything and everything wanted of a beautiful flower. But the scents were just as great. They were said to smell like a thousand fresh fruits and have a hint of honey, or a hint of mint, a hint lavender if you asked nicely, and anything else that was wished for a scent. These tales adored the young daughter, and when her mother left the throne and took Delilah with her, she never forgot the king's tales.

Delilah left her room dressed and prepared for a trip. She took a quill, a small bottle of ink, and a journal with her to write down every detail of her journey. Delilah walked into her small kitchen. It was humble but carried the necessities.

"Mother, what is for breakfast this morning?" She said, eagerly waiting for a moment to mention her trip.

"Delilah, we are having porridge as usual. Why do you ask?" Her mother said, beginning to question what brought this up.

"Nothing mother, I am merely looking forward to today."

"What makes today so excitable? Are you planning something?"

"I just want to do a small trip."

     "To where?"

Delilah hesitated for a moment then said in a whisper, "To the forest."

     "What was that?"

"To the forest, mother. Father told me many tales! I would love to dance with the talking creatures and to see the beautiful flowers of many colors! Mother may I please?!"

"Delilah your father said many tales, this is true, but I do not know if the forest is the best place for you. What if something happens and I am not with you?"

"Mother, Father said the forest was safe, I trust him and you should too. Although he chose the throne over us, I still believe that when he spoke of those stories as truth."

"Alright, my daughter, I do not trust him any longer but I trust your judgement. If you truly wish to take a trip to the forest I will not stop you."

"Thank you mother, you will not be disappointed."
