It has been said, by elders and storytellers, that many eons ago, our land of Solus was ruled by gods.

The four gods of the elements. Pyrod, the god of fire. Arachine, the god of the earth. Aquati, the goddess of water and Zephyrus the goddess of the air.

These four gods build four cities in their honour, where the native humans would come and live.  Over time, those who lived in the cities of the gods developed powers and evolved into new species. The gods became troubled by this, they believed that soon the humans would over power them and take control of their homes.

The gods, being the greatest beings in Solus, had no one to turn to, until the mysterious Mythia appeared. She promised the gods that she would save them from the humans. In return, she demanded a city of her own, a nameless city. Having no option, the gods built Mythias city, and it was beautiful.

With spires that raced into the sky, buildings that twisted and turned at the most perfect of angles, and streets that curved and bent making it impossible to get lost. And all of it, midnight black. Her city built, Mythia enticed the humans and their evolutions into her city home. Every man, woman and child in Solus flocked to Mythias midnight town.

The gods were relieved of their human subjects, and soon found themselves jealous of Mythia. One day, Pyrod called the others to his fiery castle where they discussed what they should do.  Arachine believed they should create new subjects from the earth beneath their feet, but Aquati shunned him, for her subjects would crumble under the waves of her watery home. Zephyrus wanted them to move else where and find new humans to rule. After many years of debate, it was finally decided. Mythia and her perfect, black city must be sealed in the Other realm, where darkness breeds and evil creatures thrive. They believed that it was there that Mythia must pay for tricking them.

For months, the gods coaxed and coerced their human subjects to once again return to their original homes. Some came, most remained with Mythia. Realising they could not bring everyone home, despite their best efforts, the gods finally bonded all their powers and sealed Mythia, her city and all it inhabitants into the Other realm.

Their duty done, and their energy exhausted, the gods rested in the heart of their city homes, where they have slumbered for many millenia believing Mythia gone and Solus to be safe. However, it is told that one day, the gods shall all awaken and Mythia shall return to Solus.
