Dessert not Desert

Part 3

Error's first words for a good 10 minutes. "What can't be?" I asked curiosity and worry lacing together in my words. It was then that it hit me.

Nightmare is the name of one of the elders. It was said that he ate all the apples of darkness and became a horrid creature. The elders had fought to have him sealed away into another realm.

No wonder the elders didn't want me coming here. But it seems that Error was worried of something else. Maybe he heard some other legend about the dark elder. Although Nightmare doesn't seem as bad as they depict him to be.

Suddenly I could feel a tentacle wrap around my waist pulling me out of the hut. Nightmare holds me eye level to him. He looks around me, inspecting me. "What are you doing?" I ask, looking into his eyesocket.

"So your the chosen one...smaller than I expected.." I huff. Sure I was shorter than the others but I'm not that short. "Rude." He sits me down. "My apologies I had not intent upon offending you."

I can feel my face heat up due to how gentleman like he is. Something about him makes me feel warm inside. I haven't felt that sense...well...a while.

I shake my head trying to think nothing of it. I turn to see Error just fuming. He walked over and took my hand walking off with me. "We are going home now."

Suddenly almost as if everything was drained of color it was all black and white with bits of gray. Error seemed to stiffen. Suddenly Nightmare was infront of us.

"Your not going anywhere. I will not let you leave this place and tell me brother what you have seen." His voice was so deep, demented. It was terrifying. I could feel the cold sweat beading off of me.

What did he do? Was this the realm he was trapped in for so long? I glance around to see figures walking around like phantoms. Suddenly everything was back to normal but Error wasn't beside me.

I look around to find Nightmare too was gone. Where could they have gone? Well i guess I could go explore for a little while. I walk to Nightmares hut and go inside.

The ground was pitch black. His goop probably stained it such color. I walk over to touch it. Just as I suspected. A bit of goop was on my fingers. I rub it off using a leaf and walk out. I go to the cage that once held Error.

Nothing much to see. This is going to get boring real quick. I grab a stick and mess with the left over goop. I sling it around hitting the trees.

Well I was right it is boring. I dont think it will be such a problem to go out into the wilderness. I walk out into the thick lush bushes and off on another adventure. Hopefully they'll be back soon.
