R.M's P.O.V
My feet dragged on the smooth wooden floor. I rubbed my eyes and ran my fingers through my hair. I check the alarm, 9:00 AM. I swung the shades of my hotel window open to the warm, yellow morning sun-beam that shined me right in the face. I smiled a bit. I love these types of mornings. I looked at the view from my hotel on the 20th floor. The beautiful, monstrous skyscrapers and some splashes of greenery from the parks. New York is definitely one of the most beautiful places in the U.S. My phones vibrated on my tableside, so I went to get it. It was a text message from one of the Big Hit producers, the company that my band, BTS, works with.
For the past 6 years of my music career, I was given the opportunity to be able to work and form such a plethora of talented, funny, and sweet guys that I now get to call my 2nd family: BTS. J-hope, Jin, Jungkook, Jimin, V, Suga, and I have created such a close-knit bond that some other groups would kill for. It's been a bumpy ride to get where I am right now. I had to make so many decisions that meant that I had to lose some people and sacrifice many things to work my way up. And now that I'm here, it is definitely worth it and I hope, as a group, we can dominate and change the music career forever.
I opened up my phone to my text messages,
Producer: Good morning, RM! I just wanted to inform you of some details for tonight's concert in Madison Square. First is to tell the other members to meet in the lobby by 11 AM so that we can get everyone situated in the van to the Garden. Lastly, when we get there, we can set practice and run-through. Sounds good?
R.M: Yeah! I'll let everyone know. See ya there! :)
I groaned. Sometimes, it is such a hassle to be the leader of the group. You have to plan, confirm the change of plans, and take care of other things. Like I get that we have workers for that but still. I really need to wake myself up first. I went to go to the bathroom to clean up a bit and so I can look presentable. I threw on a black v-cut shirt, blue, ripped jeans, and my signature TIMBERLANDS! And to complete the look with my rose-gold glasses. As I step out into the hotel hallway, I was greeted by my bodyguards. I sighed. I wish I big hit not be THIS high security.
"Good morning Mr. Namjoon," they both said in unison. I put my hands on their shoulders which made them tense up a bit.
"Guys calm down. Don't be so formal with me and just call me R.M" I said with a slight smile. They relaxed a bit and wiped a bit of sweat from their heads. I started to walk ahead.
"Thank god, Mr.Namjo-I-I mean R.M is pretty chill," they whispered to each other. I looked back.
"Hey, are we going to grab some coffee or what?" I said eyebrows raised. They sped up to my walking pace.
"But, R.M, don't we need to meet downstairs with the r-," I looked at him.
"Don't trip, I texted them saying that I was going to get coffee for them while they go ahead and we take an uber."
At Starbucks
As I walk down the street the busy street of west 57th street, I finally spot a Starbucks. As I was about to walk in I was bombarded with some army. It was sweet to meet them, but sometimes it can be pretty overwhelming and awkward.
"RM I LOVE YOU!!"
"CAN YOU PLEASE SIGN MY FOREHEAD?"
"LOOK AT MY SNACK GO!"
"PLEASE TAKE A PICTURE WITH ME!" I hear girls scream. The army is really committed to us.
I kindly had to say that I loved all them but I needed to just get some coffee and, surprisingly, they all left. Thank God. as I pull the doors, the smell of coffee beans filled my nose. I felt better already. I looked around and it seems that they just opened and that no one was here. Good. As I made my way to the counter, I see 2 girl baristas. A really tall girl seems to blush due to my presence. However, the small one seems to be emotionless. Her honey-dipped skin was filled with freckles, plump peachy lips, effortless, thick beach waves, and a perfectly chiseled face. I flush up a bit due to how intimidating she was even if she has a short stature. I needed to distract myself. I shot my head up to the menu, pretending that I don't know what I want...when in reality... I knew. Until I heard,
"Hey, pretty boy, what do you want to order?" she said in a sassy tone. Fiesty one I see. It seemed that she was slightly bending her neck due to how tall I was. I scoffed and bent to make it easier for her to see me,
"Miss, is this how you treat your valued customers? In just one snap, I can just fire you right here right now. So you better clean up that sas." Score. I sounded DEFINITELY intimidating....right? She gave me " the definitely pissed at you" face. She tip-toed over the counter to come face to face with me. I slightly gulped. Her eyes...
"Listen here, dude. I'm just trying to do my job and you just walked in here like you own the place. So, if you want something then just order and stop wasting my time because I right now I. Don't. Have. Time. For. You." HOW THE FUCK DO I RESPOND TO THAT? Ok, Namjoon slow your roll. Just calm down and-. I rolled my eyes emotionless and went to order. Stupid.
"Fine. I want 2 vanilla frappuccinos, 3 iced caramel coffees, and 2 hot teas. Make it quick." She just punched in the orders and then,
"Name?" I said. I slightly laughed. She really doesn't know my name? She's either playing hard to get or shes just plain dumb.
"What is so funny?" she said genuinely confused. I start to laugh some more.
"You-you don't know who I am?" I asked. She rubbed her temples in circular motions.
"No." My laugh turned into an awkward cough then a concerned look. She really doesn't know who I am? That's actually really nice ya know... not to be known. I'm honestly kinda baffled.
"Really?" She nodded her head. I sighed and put my hand on my head. She's for real dummy. Way to go. I can't give her my stage name because I don't know... she could be like you just walked the prank kid and like attack me.... too far?
"Kim," I said. She wrote "Kim" on all the cups and looked back at me.
"Anything else?" she said. Fuck, why is her presence so intimidating? She's just a GIRL. YOU. WILL. NEVER. SEE. HER. AGAIN.
"No," I mumbled.
"Ok, so your total is $27.30," She said holding out her hand for my credit card. I handed her my card and she swiped it. She handed it back to me while giving the receipt back too. I turned around and went to sit on the lounge chair with my bodyguards. I was slightly looking at my phone, then back up to her. She was completely zoned out with her music and just made the coffees so effortlessly. The other girl seemed very flustered and honestly, I don't know why. Once she shot me a stare, I went back to my phone. I see back to the shortie and she was packing them in the cup-holder and was holding hem out to give to me. I walked back to her.
"Here you g-," She said until she was suddenly interrupted by the other girl running into her and drinks spilled all over me. They both gasped and my face and clothes were covered with whipped cream and iced coffee.
"I-I," that girl ran to me and went to try to wipe me, but I swatted her presence. Disappointing. I looked back at the shortie in disgust and she rolled her eyes in retaliation. Ya know what, she is cute for a bit but her attitude is not it. I came to the counter and really came face to face with her. I was filled with rage.
"You owe me big time now coffee girl," I said before storming out. The guards followed behind me.
A/N: HEYO! So, this was just like the last chapter but from R.M's point of view because I thought that we should get both perspectives on their first meeting. But don't worry, the next chapter will be MUCH better. Ok well, I'm gonna keep writing so I might post 1 more tonight or maybe tmrw depending on how I feel. Ok well gtg bye <3
